6.Heatwaves

Waking up to the buzzing of her alarm, Maddie hops in the shower before checking on the video she posted last night.
Logging into her Juicebox channel Maddie scroles down to the comments section

Maddie reads the rest of the comments then checkes how many viewers she got.

"337, Not bad for my first video. I guess most of  the schools scene this." Maddie heads down stairs grabbing a watterbottle from the fridge.

"Hey honey, breakfast?" Maddies mom asked

"No thanks, I think I'm going to do some laps it's to hot"

"Ok, here take this" maddies mom hands Maddie a waffle as she continues to make breakfast

Maddie grabs her bathing suit and a towel  and shoves them in her gym bag. Arriving at the pool Maddie gets changed and makes her way to the pool. Maddie does a few laps before noticing someone watching her.

"You have some strong lungs" Ethan says watching Maddie lift herself out of the water.

"Oh hi Ethan, how long have you been sitting there?"

"Long enough to know that if I'd sink you'd be able to dive 7 meters and save me"

"Arnt you on the swim team, aha anyways, what are you doing here?"

"Its too hot so I thought I'd come down here for a swim"

"Ya same. You want to join me?"

Ethan hopes into the water holding out his hand for Maddie to grab on.

"Your a pretty good swimmer, why arnt you on the team?"

"Oh I just do it for fun, something I can do for myself"

"Ya I get it, it's more peaceful no loud screaming fans and the medals, who needs them". Ethan chuckles "no but seriously I get it,  I like to come in here to do the same"

"So you want to race then?"

"Sure, first one to complete to laps there and back wins"

"So who won?" Maddie asked

"It was clearly my win"

"Oh please I was definitely ahead of you"

"Maybe in the beginning but I totally smoked you"

"Why is it that the male cannot handle a female beating them at sports?" Maddie says placing her hands at her hips.

Ethan chuckles and moves closer to Maddies body wrapping his arms around her waist.

Ethans POV

I look deep in her eyes as I move closer to her wrapping my arms around her waist. I can feel her body heating up and her heartbeat getting faster. She isn't like any of the other girls I know, she intelligent, quirky, beautifully shy and I just can't help but want to kiss her everytime I see her. She has the most adorable laugh I've ever heard,  why haven't I noticed her before.

Maddies POV

His arms wrapped around me making my heartbeat speed up. God I hope I'm not blushing. He has the most perfect blue/gray eyes I've ever seen, I could just stare at him forever. And just when things couldn't get anymore amazing he leens in and our lips meet sending heat waves through my body. I cup his face in my palm as our kiss deepens.

Our lips separate after who knows how long and we just stare into each others eyes catching our breaths as we float in the water.
