LEAVES LITTER IN JORDAN Gilbert's hair, and the wind weaves through her locks. Before her lie the doors to a new world, and her eyes lose themselves in the overlapping trees and colours, and the only thing keeping her from being sucked into the void the forest creates is an invisible barrier. She feels as if her toes are dangling over the edge of a cliff, and only by the strings on her arms and neck and legs does she remains tied to the life she has always known. But as her name rips through the trees, bouncing like an echo, she falls. She falls into the world that is not her own. She falls into the arms of a raven haired man with electric blue eyes that reflect the secrets of the deepest parts of the ocean. Jordan should be afraid, but as her eyes interlock with his, she feels as if fresh oxygen fills her lungs for the first time since she has been alive.
