Chapter 3
:Hermione
"Well no wonder your having trouble writing this" I scoffed as I stalked back into the small area we had taken over.
He lifted his grey eyes to mine and my step faulted for a second. "What?" he made himself sound so clueless and confused his brows scrunched just a little in a cute way and I shook my head and mentally slapped myself for even thinking it was cute. I needed to focus and get my head out of the gutter.
"You wrote down a entirely different thing then Flitwick had on his board" I shook my head at him and slid him the parchment paper that held the true assignment.
His eyes flickered down to it and his pale cheeks flushed a soft red for a second. "Well- it makes sense now"he grumbled before running his hand carefully through his slicked back hair.
I rolled my eyes. "I believe segment two would work greatly to your advantage" I commented while propping open my own book.
"Huh" he mused flickering his quill and twirling it between his fingers.
Much like anyone would have expected he had a golden crafted quill with leafed gold feathers that almost resembled a peacock in the blues and greens of the gems that decorated it.
My eyes flickered down to my simple and very plain quil and I almost pouted as I eyed his one last time before burying myself in my book.
An hour later I almost screamed in shock when he jumped up and slammed his palms down on the table.
"Your a life saver" he stated his eyes locked on mine.
I shrugged trying to calm my fluttering heart. "How?" Dear god why did I have to sound so flustered my heart continued to race still startled by the outburst.
"Segment two" he stated.
"Oh well I just recommended it. Im surprised you listened" I stated truthfully. "Ronald and Harry usually ignore what I recommend"
"Mental those two" he stated. "Thanks a bunch. Im gonna go turn this in now"
"Dont want me to check it like I promised?" I raised a brow.
A slow grin touched his lips. "I totally forgot you offered that as well" he sat back down and sheepishly slid the roll of parchment to me. I grabbed it and almost groaned as the silky fine parchment touched my fingers, it was silky smooth you couldn't feel the fibers of the paper leading me to believe this was a wizard made parchment. I discreetly let my fingers crease it as I let my eyes skim over it.
"Well you started off very good" I noted as I skimmed over and paused to glance back up at him. "Draco you may just be on to something"
"Must be? Dont wanna say that I am actually on to something?" He raised a well shaped brow at me.
I scoffed at him. "Draco do not get ahead of yourself" I smirked and picked up my quill. "Spelling does have something to do with your grade and so far I have spotted three errors and I'm not even half way through" I let out smugly feeling good to have deflated his ego just a little as his lips pulled into a small frown his eyes narrowed before he gave a puff.
"Well we cant all be perfect" he grumbled with a cute pout setting on his pale lips. His eyes flickered away and narrowed slightly on something before they wandered away and glancing back at me as I let my eyes skim back over I marked the places with magic and slid it back to him.
"Not to shabby." I noted softly.
"Thanks" He quickly changed his words and sat back looking pleased. "I cant express how helpful this was" He leaned closer across the table and I froze with wide eyes. "Thanks Hermione"
