Chapter 6 

:Hermione

"Harry stop it" I snapped as he and Draco were face to face. Well Harry was red in the face inches from Draco who was lounging against the wall as calm as ever. "What on earth are you doing?!" 

"Hermione-if you knew what he said-" He ground out green eyes filled with anger. 

"It doesnt matter, stop it" I grabbed his arm. "Stop acting like its 1st year. I thought you got over all of this. Your going to get yourself in trouble" I glared. "What did you do" I snipped to Draco. 

He held up his hands and gave me a innocent look. "He was telling me I had no right to ask you for help yesterday" 

I turned to Harry with a glare. "YOU did what?" I shrieked. 

He blinked in shock his face paling as I pointed my wand to him. 

"Harry James Potter just what do you think you are doing" I demanded. "I AM not the witch to triffle with" 

His hands flashed up. "I'm just saying-well-you see" he stuttered. 

"I can not believe you" I gave him a disapointed look. "You are acting like a child" I crossed my arms. "I gave him permission to ask for help if he needed" I glared. "At least he has the brains to ask for help unlike some" I raised a brow. 

His cheeks flushed with embaressment. 

"Two points deducted from acting like a prat" I turned on my heels and stalked away grumbling to myself. 

"Just what is going on with those two" I muttered to myself as I walked out of the castle and to the black lake. I sat there on the large stone eyeing the inky black water.

"Hey" 

Blinking I looked over at the grey eyes that peered down to me, pale blonde hair feel into his face. "Draco?"

He eyed the spot beside me. "May I?" 

I nodded and scotted a bit with a flick of my wand I extended the cushioning charm. "Yea go ahead" 

"I'm-sorry about putting you in that position earlier" His eyes were locked onto the lake. 

Blinking I eyed him in shock. "Your-sorry?" 

He nodded. "I know-I may have taken advantage of your offer" his cheeks turned a light pink as he looked away. "I knew I should have waited with how-well those two are" he sneered the last part.

Looking down at my interlocked fingers I sighed. "I was suprised you ever accepted it to be honest. Those two-well they have the same offer but never once accept till last minute and always expect me to answer all of their questions." I admitted softly. "I dont mind helping-it keeps me busy and my mind off of things-it well" I tilted my head back looking up into the cloudy sky. 

Here by the lake as the water laped at the gravel sending cold waves of air I pulled my arms around myself. I jumped when I felt something wrap around me. The heavy scent of green apples, and expensive broom wax filled my lungs I looked over in shock at Draco who settled back his cape wrapped around me. "You rushed out without a cape-I dont know about being a know it all" his tone teasing. 

I cracked a smile. "You-didnt have to" 

He shook his head. "Just use it-I was getting to warm anyways" he admitted with a shrug. 

I nestled closer as a shiver raced through me. "Thanks" 

He grunted in response. "Here-I brought this back" he slid the book to me. "I told you I knew the charm" he commented with a sniff.
