I don't remember when the rain started. I was fine one minute, soaked the next. My hair dropped behind my ears. I was running, I couldn't stop. It wasn't too much. I was just too afraid.
It was so dark, I couldn't feel my heart beating anymore. But I was still breathing. The smoke, the blood, the tears, they were now my lungs. The rain pounded against my bare chest.
