Chapter Five

The sweet aroma of coffee and croissants teased her nostrils, Sandara woke up to a breakfast ready on the sitting area of her room. Its always like this everyday. She felt like a royalty being served, pampered but locked in. Seunghyun would pay a visit once in a while asking about her if she's fine or needed anything and would disappeared before she could ask anything about her. She ask one of the servants if she could go roam the huge mansion but Seunghyun had strict instructions not to let her out of sight and not to let her go anywhere. She was more likely a prisoner. As days passed, she was getting more impatient, she needed answers but Seunghyun was doing a really good job of brushing her off.

She'd been having nightmares sometime at nights. But nothing more that a voice saying hurtful words, the arguments and the chills that the mansion gives her. It made her more desperate to check the whole mansion, there was something about this house. Maybe just maybe. She could remember something here. If only the demon would let her. Yes, she started to think Seunghyun was some demon. He was just cold, colder than the first time she meet him that other night.

Sandara shook her head and stood and walked to the sitting area and ate her breakfast. No matter what she's getting her answer today. She would sneak out if she had to. She picked the croissant and went to the glass sliding door to her veranda. The blue waters of the huge pool was inviting. She hadn't swim before, not that she remembers. Well, theres only one way to find out.. She will swim today. Either he likes it or not.

The thought of rebelling against him made her smile as she was heading back to her room her eyes caught a sight. Two figures standing at the bar a few feet away from the pool area. Her eyes widen and a grasp caught her. There. Seunghyun and Clara, kissing. No, more like eating each other's throat. Clara was being pushed against the wall as Seunghyun caressed her. Like he knew someone was watching, Seunghyun lifted his gaze and caught her watching but instead of stopping was he was doing to the woman, his eyes got more intense and his kiss and hands got more wilder.

Sandara stood there watching her husband with another woman. Another woman he planned to marry in a few months, she knew of course. He said it in her face when she was already recovering. He laid the divorce papers yesterday. He gave her a huge settlement that she could buy an island for herself but she needs to quietly disappear from his life. Sandara didn't know but she strongly disagree. She didn't sign the papers and wanted some answers. She scratch the amount of settlement too. She didn't know why but something tells her not to. That there's more to uncover before she sign the papers. It hurts even if she doesn't remember but it was nothing like she was feeling right now. She didn't know if she was really in love with her husband. Before maybe she did, now? She couldn't remember but why? Why does it hurt like hell seeing him with another woman? Her heart was like being crushed inside. Sandara scolded her herself to look away but she couldn't, not until she noticed the little droplets of tears fell from her eyes. she hurriedly went inside her room and rushed into the bathroom. Clutching her beating heart, the voice from her dreams whispered in her ears.

"He married you for the name. Not with love.""He doesn't do love, Sandara. Don't expect him to love you.""He has someone else. He'd always look for someone else."

Angry fat tears rolled down from her eyes and cup her mouth to muffle her cry. She was hurting but craving for more to remember who was she talking to, is that why she had the accident? Did she saw Seunghyun cheating on her? Forcing her mind to remember, her head ache and dizzy. The next thing she remember she was on the floor shaking violently and the blackness took over.

Seunghyun pushed himself away from Clara. God! What had he done? She was nothing to him but why does it felt like he was cheating on her? Besides they're still married. Well, not long after she signs the divorce papers. He begun pacing and saw Clara watch him frowning at him. "I have to go."

He cast a glance at her and saw her gape at him but he didn't need to explain anything. He needs time to think. The past few days was stressful to him. He was being careful not to let the press know about the existence of his wife they knew who betrayed him and died. Damn.

He can't even be with her in the same room too long. The news of her betrayal still ringing on his mind. But as he checked on her everyday. Watching her recover, from the old and too thin Sandara who went to his engagement the other night was nothing more the radiant and glowing Sandara he once knew. But the smile and the sound of her laugh he was aching to hear.

He made decisions and was honoring it. Besides its too late already. The news of his engagement with Clara was all over the news for the past days. It was dubbed as the wedding of the year. He was signing the contract between the two companies merger the day of the wedding anyways. He had his lawyer drawn the divorce papers and gave it to her. 

And...

"Boss.."

Seunghyun was too distracted that he didn't hear his security come inside his study and was calling at him until now. "Daesung. Is Miss Clara still waiting for me?" Daesung shook his head. 

"No boss, she left a few minutest ago. A little pissed off but okay. But what I'm about to say has nothing to do about Miss Clara. It's Miss Sandara."

At the sound of her name, Seunghyun turned and looked at him frowning. "What about her?"

Daesung form a tight line and a grim look in his face made Seunghyun curious. "Miss Gummy went to her room to get the breakfast cart but found the room locked. She had to get the main keys and found Miss Sandara nowhere. She saw her on the en suite bathroom unconscious but still breathing. Looks like she fainted boss. "

"What?!"
