"What the hell are you doing" screamed Abigail as Jackie made the 'baby' cry.
She stormed off and nodded at Annie who was rolling her eyes at Dave. Annie walked over seeming just as frustrated as her.
"You alright?" asked Abigail.
"Yer, I just hate this project" replied Annie.
"Why, who are you with?" Abigail asked, trying to get something out of Annie.
"That guy" she nodded to him, "I think his name is Dave, don't really know"
"Have you ever talked to him?" said Abigail.
"No, just met him really" blushed Annie.
Abigail knew she was lying but decided not to say anything. Annie turned even redder when the two shared eye contact. The awkward tension was broken when Maria walked over looking a lot more happy then the others.
"I guess you have been more successful them us" sighed Abigail.
Annie grunted in agreement.
"I guess" Maria giggled.
"I saw you two sharing a cheeky kiss in the corner" Abigail laughed.
Maria blushed and Abigail winked back as they walked out.
They were all walking down the corridor as Abigail heard a familiar voice calling her name. She turned around to see Edward walking towards you.
"See you later I guess" said Annie as her and Maria walked off giggling.
Abigail turned back to Edward.
"So I was just wondering..." started Edward.
"Yes.." encouraged Abigail.
"Do you want to go out sometime" stumbled Edward, "just, you know, me and you."
Abigail smiled and agreed. Edward's face lit up after her answer.
"Great, tomorrow okay?" asked Edward.
"Erm, I think so. Yer okay" replied Abigail.
"Okay, I'll pick you up a seven" said Edward as he walked off.
And he left, she caught a glimpse of Jackie from down the corridor. His eyes were blood shot and he looked stressed. He had seen the exchange between her and Edward and didn't look too impressed. They held eye contact for an uncomfortable amount of time before he sighed and walked off.
Abigail watched him leave before joining Finley and Laurice along the hall.
She tried to put Jackie to the back of her mind and ignore her over whelming feelings towards him. Instead, she focused on her date. This one, would work.
-
It was the next day and Abigail awoke with a heavy head. She stayed in bed for hours after she should have. The sun rose higher in the sky, warning her sheets as it went. Yet again, she found herself looking through 'master chen's' Instagram account and fixating on what she could have done better.
She rolled over to see her clock. 11:13.
"Fish sticks" cried Abigail as she leaped out of bed and chucked on whatever she could find. She left in a hurry and arrived with 7 minutes to kill.
She pondered towards her classroom. Two voices grew louder as she was approaching. She struggled to hear what they were saying through the thick walls but could tell they were arguing.
She put her ear to the door in an effort to listen to what was being said. The voices sounded familiar but they were muffled and shaken. They became clearer and the argument settled slightly.
"Im sorry, I can do this anymore...." she heard from the female's voice.
"But.." argued the boy.
"No buts, not now. It's too late. You loving me was a lie, you haven't got over her" the boy tried to say things on multiple occasions but the girl just continued, "I need someone who loves ME"
Her sharp and harsh tone signified the end of the argument.
"Please" pleaded the boy.
"We're done, okay. No more second chances"
Thee girl's footsteps grew closer towards the door making Abigail jump backwards. She leaned against the wall and looked down, trying to make it seem like she hadn't heard the whole thing.
The door slammed open and a ginger girl stormed out. Abigail knew immediately, that girl was Ellie. She looked up. Ellie immediately stopped in her tracks and looked back at her. She sighed and continued her tantrum.
Abigail walked in and sat at her dest. Jackie was sitting on a desk on the other side of the room, his head enclosed in his hands. Abigail wasn't sure whether to say something or not. They sat in silence for a few seconds but it felt like years.
"Are you okay" asked Abigail sympathetically.
"Fine, don't worrying about" muttered Jackie, not even moving his head from his hands.
Abigail walked over to sit beside him. She stroked his back gently. They sat there for a while, enjoying the company even if it was only for a short time.
The class room gradually filled up as the lesson began. Abigail watched as Annie sighed when she sat next to Dave. She wasn't sure if she should talk to her. Annie did seem rather moody the last few days which Abigail assumed was down to him.
Maria strolled in a bit afterwards and sat down next to her partner much more willingly. The guy she was flirting with was well know throughout the school. He had tanned skin and wasn't too tall for Maria. He was Edward's partner in crime and they were often inseparable.
Maria climbed into her seat and flicked her hair seductively.
With a wink she said "hey Steven".
