I was still out of breath from moments before. "Okay" the doctor said. "Your two girls are completely healthy and congratulations on the new addition to your family" he added. I waited in my hospital room to get the announcement that I could see my babies. "Great job honey" Harvey said. I smiled and grabbed his hand. I looked over at the door and saw my nurse walk in, she was holding my babies. "Here you are Mrs mills. Eleanor is in the pink hat and Olivia is in the purple hat." She said as she handed me Eleanor. I watched as she handed Olivia to Harvey. "Thank you so much Kelly" I smiled. "Of course" she replied.
------ 2 years later-------
Today's Eleanor and Olivia's birthday, they're 2 years old. Charlotte is 17 now, almost 18 and I can't believe it. My kids are growing up too fast. "Momma momma!" Olivia called as she ran to me. "Yes baby?" I replied. "I'm two" she giggled. "I know honey. You're getting so old" I joked. Their birthday was a success and they got a load of gifts. "Do you think we'RE doing this right?" I asked Harvey as u layed in bed. "Doing what right?" He replied. "Parenting" I said. "Well I should say so" he laughed. I smiled, kissed him, and fell asleep.
I woke up and got dressed immediately. "Good morning" I said to Eleanor as she walked into the kitchen. "Will you go wake up Charlotte for me?" I asked. She nodded and ran off towards Charlotte's room. I put Olivia into her highchair as I waited for Eleanor to get back. Finally, after about 5 minutes, she came back. "Charlotte won't wake up mommy" she said. I sighed and set Eleanor in her highchair. "Harvey!" I called up the stairs. In a few seconds he was down the stairs standing next to me. "Yes honey?" He asked. "Will you watch the girls while I wake up Charlotte?" I replied. "Of course" he said as he gave me a quick kiss on the forehead. I smiled and walked upstairs. I opened Charlotte's door and walked in. She was asleep, on her stomach. Even though the blankets were over her, I could tell she was sprawled across the bed. I giggled and sat down next to her. "Charlotte" I said as I shook her shoulder. She didn't even flinch. I shook her a little harder and still nothing. "Charlotte, honey. Wake up" I said. She still didn't respond so I began to worry. I lifted her upper half into my arms and turned her over. "Charlotte" I shouted. "Harvey!" I yelled. I checked her pulse but freaked out when I couldn't find it. Within seconds Harvey was standing next to me. "What happened?" He asked, taking Charlotte from me. "I- I don't know. She wouldn't wake up and.. I just don't know Harvey" I cried. "Harvey.." I whispered. He looked up at me with aching eyes, "I couldn't find her pulse" I sighed. "Call 911" he demanded. As I was on the phone with a responder, I felt like everything was going in slow motion, I couldn't catch up with my mind. Before I knew it, there were paramedics rushing into my house. "Please help my baby" I cried. "Don't worry ma'am.. we'll do all that we can" one of them assured me. I cried as I put the girls in their car seats. "Let's go" I said to Harvey. I buckled the girls into the car and hopped into the drivers seat. As I drove, my hands were shaking and tears stained my face. "Baby" Harvey said, laying his hand on my thigh. "She'll be okay" he whispered. I nodded and kept driving, tightening my grip on the wheel. Charlotte, my first born. I missed the first 13 years of her life.. she can't leave me now. We arrived at the hospital and I left the girls in a baby daycare room while we rushed to see Charlotte. "Dove mills?" A lady asked. I nodded and got closer to her so we could talk. "Mrs mills I'm so sorry about the scare. Unfortunately I have no new information on Charlotte right now. If you could wait here I'll get some notes from the doctor" she said in a questioning tone. I nodded and stepped back while she walked away. Having pulled me in for a hug, "like I said, she will be fine" he reassured me.

After what seemed like forever, which was actually 6 minutes.. the nurse came back. "Okay Mrs mills. I regret to inform you that Charlotte is in bad condition at the moment. She is awake but very weak" she explained. "And have you found out what happened to her?" I asked. "Unfortunately, we found some scars along her stomach, we are thinking that the scars are the cause of her not waking up. She possibly cut herself too deep or an old scar tore open.." she said. Scars? I don't recall any scars. "I don't recall any scars" I replied. She sighed, "I'm sorry ma'am. She is awake now if you'd like to speak to her" she said. I nodded and she led me to Charlotte's room. I walked in and she was hooked up to a couple machines, she looked at me for a second but looked away. "Charlotte?" I asked as I sat down next to her in a chair. "What happened?" I added. She sighed. I don't think she wants to tell me.
