A/N: I have to be honest with you guys, I stopped watching New Girl a long time ago, mainly after the second season because it became a lot like other shows, but damn it Nick and Jess belong together but they both denied it for a whole season? COME ON! Anyway, this scene will be forever engraved in my mind. I want a Nick to kiss me like that, OH YEAH!

Julio took her ice skating. Stephanie was surprised, as he hoped she would be but she was more surprised by the fact he had come up with the idea himself. His father had taken him ice skating for the first time when he was ten, and he loved it. Arizona summers were intolerable, so spending the day in the ice was very well welcomed. Though he didn't even know how to even rollerblade, he tried ice skating with open arms. His father was a great teacher for he was practically a professional. He had grown up somewhere where it snowed a lot and moved to Arizona because of his military career. He met Julio's mother and decided to stay after he left the army. Julio knew, even then, that ice skating was his way to be closer to home.

Now he wanted to welcome Stephanie to his father's home. It seemed odd at first, when he went to work on his father's KITT and the idea came out of nowhere. Ice skating was his secret, his guilty pleasure, did he want to expose himself like that now? So early in the relationship?

With one look across the street, he decided that he did. He did want her to be part of this small haven apart from KITT.

Stephanie was excited when he revealed his surprise for her, she had never been, and mentioned she was wearing the wrong clothes for ice skating. She wore jeans and a long sleeve shirt, she looked amazing but she was going get cold, so he let her borrow his hoodie and assured her she would be fine, if she got too cold they could go somewhere else.

"How the hell did you find this place?" she asked as she tied the rented skates' shoelaces.

"My dad used to take me here whenever it was too hot to be outside."

Her eyes softened. "All my dad ever did was give me a fan so we didn't waste energy on air-conditioning. Okay," she said as she stood on her feet. "I kinda know how to rollerblade so it shouldn't be so different, right?"

"Right. Except that the falls hurt more."

"They hurt the same, the ground is just as hard frozen than not frozen."

"You'd think that."

She nodded. "Aright." She replied quietly. He smiled, after her first fall, she would see he was right.

They walked side by side which was the easy part since they walked on carpet. They stopped at the ice rink and she took a deep breath. "I don't want to do this, I'm gonna break a leg, I know it."

"You won't break anything," he assured her. He stepped out on the ice and extended his hand. "Come on, just grab my hand, if you fall, we will fall together."

She let out a laugh as she took his hand tightly. "You're supposed to say, don't worry, I won't let you fall."

"Then that would be lying."

She put a foot on the ice and slowly, she put the other one, and she stood face to face with him. "This is not too bad."

"It's not, except that we have to move now." He stepped back slightly and she jumped for his shoulders as she no longer was able to balance herself. "He held her tightly as he started sliding back with her in his arms. "Look, you're doing it."

"Doing what? You're dragging me along with you."

"And you're doing great!"

She let out a laugh. "Don't let me go, okay? I really don't wanna fall."
