I guess you really did it this time
Left yourself in your war-path
Lost your balance on a tightrope
Lost your mind trying to get it back

Something told me I'd be driving the whole way to New Mexico, unwillingly. I'd hoped that Loki would fall asleep, or at least doze off so I could possibly escape, but I was disappointed. Loki barely even blinked and we had been driving for 3 hours. It would be a day or more drive and it'd be a long drive. I was just lucky because Loki was being silent, occasionally glancing at me. I probably would have screamed in his face if he said one word to me.
I was so furious at Loki for using me. I then understood what Loki meant when he said I had proven myself useful. The only reason Loki needed me was because I knew how to get to the Draw Points. I had been kind to Loki and I was honest with him. But he had turned his back on me and was using me to his advantage.
How he smuggled a knife in, I had no idea. All I knew was he was being ten times more mean than he was the first day I met him and I no longer felt scared of him. I was terrified.
I had been plotting to bang on the window, hoping a passing car would see I needed help, but I came to the conclusion that Loki would slit my throat before I had the chance to pull over. And my right wrist was still tied to the car. It was starting to chaff at my skin, making me wince every time I'd turn the wheel.
It finally occurred to me after about 4 hours of silent driving, that if I did what Loki told me, I would be free. I would take Loki to New Mexico, drop him off, then leave. It would all be over. I could go back to New York and go back to my normal life and continue working at S.H.I.E.L.D. All the Avengers must've been scrambling for a plan, or realizing that I was missing. But I knew they wouldn't find me for a few days, at least. And by that time, Loki would be gone in Asgard, the way it should be.
"Don't pull." Loki spoke for the first time in hours. But his voice had changed from anger to calmness in those hours.
I pulled on the wire one more time, then sighed, placing my hand back on the wheel. "It hurts." I complained, registering my gaze back to the road. A red rash wrapped around my wrist due to the conveniently uncomfortable wire. I don't know why he'd think I'd try to escape. He'd just use his strange mind powers to drag me back.
"Well I feel no way obliged to loosen it. Once we're in New Russia-"
"Mexico." I corrected, wondering how on earth he got Russia out of Mexico.
Loki let out a breath impatiently,"New Mexico, whatever. Once we get to New Mexico, I'll let you go... if you don't try to escape."
I whipped my head over to him and sneered,"Well where do you suppose I go? I am strapped to the car, thanks to you!"
Loki clasped his hands together and raised his eyebrows at me, "Do I sense disrespect?" He questioned, his voice still surprisingly calm on the contrary to mine.
I rolled my eyes away from him and set them back on the road. "Well sorry I'm not happy and giddy, considering the fact that you kidnapped me and forced me to drive you across the flipping country!"
"Well forgive me for this being such an inconvenience." Loki replied politely.
"Just a small inconvenience." I muttered sarcastically. "I suppose your brother won't be too happy find out about all this."
"He won't find out." He pulled on the wire, making a small yelp slip through my lips. "Will he, Lilly?"
I scrunched my nose up and glared at him from the corner of my eye,"It's Lyla. And fine, whatever, Thor won't find out. I just don't understand why you came down to Earth just to want to go back to Asgard. It makes no sense."
