Jeniva ran as fast as she could towards the alley. She placed her hand on a thirty feet long wall, catching every little ounce of her breath. Her heart started to pound heavily, hearing the sound of an angry mob ransacking everything and everyone in their way.

“Oh. Damn you,” she said, under her breath.

She took out a mirror from her right pocket and held it up. She only saw her allies – the people who she trusted – in Abareria. Thank god, she thought, speeding towards them.

“Chris. Ryan,” she said, moving her eyes between them. “How did you escape? And where's Ivy and Haley?”

They hesitated.

“I'm guessing, your only answer is Telandria happened. Well, find them before I kill you,” she demanded.

“But we don't work for you,” Chris pointed out.

“Work for a Vontrape. Work for me,” she said, coldly. “Got it!”

“Yes, ma'am,” Chris and Ryan said in unison.

She placed her hand on her head and the other, on her waistline. She was fed up. She reached towards inside Ryan's chest then back out again. Her face lit up vaguely as she held up a glowing object. Her hands caved into it. It started to crackle and break.

Chris caught Ryan and looked at Jeniva, as she enjoyed causing enough pain, to make them suffer. “You're a monster, Nina.” He started to focus on Jeniva's hand with an enchantment that someone gave him, almost three years ago. “You can't keep threatening us, because you can't live forever like Rosie.”

“Rosie. Rosie. Rosie,” she said, mocking them. “Where is she? Oh, yeah. She was driven out of Abareria by those stupid Tenors.” She made the heart disappear, right before their very eyes. She did the same with Chris'. “Find those girls before your heart is dragon meat. Do I make myself clear?”

They nodded.

“Now, get out of my sight,” she said, right before they left. She stood there, muttering in Latin as a group of Tenorians made an attempt to rip her apart. She ran as fast as she could. She felt an arm grab her from the dark.

“I'll deal with her,” a person said, ordering the crowd to go home. And they did. “Jeniva. You need to get away from here, just like Rosie.”

She imitated someone throwing up, after the wildest party in the neighborhood. “Oh, boo who... Peter. You mention Rosie one more time and I'll...”

“You'll what? Kill me,” he said, letting out a chuckle. “Let's say that you do kill me, then Rosie won't forgive you.” He grabbed her wrist, gripping tightly. His eyes turned bright red.

Jeniva looked mesmerized, as her eyes turned black. “Don't hurt me,” she shivered.

He smirked. “Why would I do that? Rosie would murder me,” he said, letting her wrist go and both of their eyes goes back to normal. “I guess, we're both stuck.”

She nodded.

“What are we going to do?”

“Turn yourself in,” she said, trying to get her heartbeat and voice back to normal.

He stared at the ground, thinking for just one moment. He slightly nodded. “I'll do it. I'll pretend to be you and turn myself in.”

“You have yourself a deal.”

They shook on it, making the deal permanent.

She tilted her head. “Now, go before they know that something is up.”

The girl nodded as Jeniva watched her disappear. She turned around, unaware of the girl in the shadows. She bit her lower lip, clenched her fists and lets the Tenorian guards take her away. The girl left the shadows, as the guards left with Jeniva. She slowly caught her breath. “Thank you,” she whispered, before vanishing to another realm.
