"Oswald, get the last of it!"
"On it, Eddie." The short penguin-like man turned to the tellers window and grabbed the last two duffel bags full of money that had been sitting on the counter and threw it into the back of the black van. "Ed, you gotta go without me. I'll meet you back at the safe house!" Police sirens blared in the background.
"No Oswald, we leave together," Edward said, turning around to look at the other man from the front driver's seat.
"Fine," Oswald nodded reluctantly as he slammed the back doors of the van and ran to the passenger door, sirens blaring in the background. He hopped in the seat and yelled, "Drive!"
The tires burnt, dirt was kicked up and dust went everywhere as they left behind the huge hole in the Gotham City Bank they'd made. Oswald turned to Edward and planted a loving kiss on his cheek before grabbing his rifle from the back of the van. Pulling his body out the passenger window where he sat, he set the gun on the van's black roof.
The police followed them in pursuit, but as they got closer, Oswald pulled the trigger and a burst of rapid fire released. The cop cars ran off the road and into the near by ditch, causing them to wreck into each other, combusting.
Oswald pulled himself back into the van, with the large gun in after him. But shortly after wiping the gun with his hankerchief, he threw it into the ditch beside them as they sped to their safe house.
"So how did we do this time, Ozzie?" Edward said, smirking.
"Oh, er, about 50K. More than what those bozo hench men could've pulled off." Oswald retorted with a snort and a roll of his eyes.
"Not bad, my little penguin, not bad at all." Edward turned to the smaller man and gave him a wide, toothy smile.
Oswald blushed a deep red colour and returned the smile back at Ed. "How far are we from the safe house, my love?" He asked looking back out his window casually.
"Why? In a hurry?" Edward asked in a low tone, keeping his eyes on Oswald as he drove. "Got something planned, hm?" He giggled devilishly.
"Ed, keep your eyes on the road and not me for once, please." Oswald replied giving the man beside him a look that Ed knew all too well. But Oswald was right, safety first, Edward scolded to himself inside his head.
A few blocks and some questioning glances later, they'd finally made it to the safehouse. With Ed waiting patiently behind the wheel, Oswald hopped out his seat and made his way to the large garage-like door, and opened it, revealing the inside of the spacious warehouse that Oswald kept as a spare safehouse. Just for occasions like these.
Oswald waved Edward into the warehouse. Parking the van, he gave his lover a wink. He shut off the engine and climbed out of his seat as Oswald hit the button on the side of the wall and locked the large door.
"Home sweet safehouse," Edward joked, smiling at Oswald as he stretched.
"I am so tired, Eddie. What a day," He answered, yawning. Limping towards his boyfriend, he returned the smile.
"Awe, my poor Pengy," He giggled, outstretching his arms, allowing Oswald to lean into them for an embrace. Edward layed kisses up and down his warm neck and sighed. "Hopefully not too tired, though." he smirked against his lover's jawline.
Before Oswald could answer, Edward planted his lips on top of the shorter man's own. Deepening the kiss, Oswald sighed into the show of affection. Letting Edward support most of Oswald's weight due to him being tired, he leaned backwards off Edwards lips, their noses still touching.
"Of course I'm not," He smiled up at the other man.
"Good," Was all Ed said before replacing his lips back onto Oswald's.
