This is the part where everything starts to take a turn downhill.
So she avoided him.
And it broke her heart because he had basically saved her life and she was figuratively repaying him by not answering his phone calls or his texts and leaving her door locked at night when she used to leave it cracked in hopes of him possibly sneaking in to whisk her away in a romantic journey.
What was even worse was that the other had noticed. Pretty much instantaneously which hurt her even more because the only way it could be so obvious would've been if they were inseparable before the incident and now they weren't. It had only been almost week. It had only been almost a week and she honestly didn't know how she could survive any longer without him.
She had begun to make daily visits to the prison. The guards had finally learned that she would come around 7 o clock in the evening and stay until 8:05. They didn't know that she did this so she could avoid going out with her friends. At work she kept to herself and well did her job. The first time she told Zayn to shut the hell up I'm thinking he knew something was different about the brunette in front of him. She took on more clients but the regulars stopped going to her, they knew something was off and asked Zayn to do it and all the while would ask him what was wrong with Freddy and why was she acting this way.
The one person who had noticed it the most was undoubtedly Nick. He had come over once to see his best friend. Cara had gone out for a shoot. It was only a few days after the incident and she hadn't gone back to work yet, lying about having the flu when Zayn could literally notice in an instant that it was all a lie.
Nick had brought over Indian takeaway because fuck it was his favorite and he didn't care if Freddy wanted it or not. He couldn't even remember the last time they had spent together, just the two of them.
When he had reached her door, he pushed it open and stopped in the doorway. She was sitting out on her balcony and she only ever sat out on her balcony if she was smoking and she only ever smoked when she was stressed and sure they all smoked weed together but it was different to smoke it all by herself and no one could watch after her when she was like this and she was basically his little sister so he knew that he had to watch after her right now.

It was 6:42 so she had exactly eight minutes before she had to get dressed in real clothes and head back downtown. There was a little bistro down that way that she could stop back at on the way home. She was surprised that she had even been thinking this straight when she knew her eyes were watering and red rimmed along with puffy lips and swollen thighs.
The only way Freddy could forget about the boy down the street was to go home with boys from who lived on other streets, preferably ones outside of the country. It was day five of her avoidance and she didn't know how she was even still alive, breathing even. She sucked in the smoke once more and turned to breathe it out when she caught a glimpse of an unmistakable quiff in her bedroom doorway.
"What d'ya want?"she said with a heavy accent. When she was tired her Northerness made itself more apparent. "I'm about to go out."
