This is the story of how Harry, the new kid on the block, met Freddy, the undiscovered celebrity, who turned his life upside down more times than he would care to admit.
Elfrieda Emmeline Eldred, Freddy for short, was currently pissed off. She glanced down at her black tights, visible runs on each of the legs, and sighed as she traced them.
She should've listened to Cara, but of course she wouldn't admit that to her best friend's face. The inside of the taxi cab was far too dull for her liking, especially on a Saturday night, where she was supposed to have met with a blind date (Sam was his name?), and have gone out for drinks, undoubtedly getting laid that night for the first time since Vienna, or was it Venezuela? Anyways, she had missed a good fuck and was now feeling the aftermath. Not wanting to let her friend know she was right, she pulled out her phone from her white leather clutch and dialed the number she knew by heart. She slid the phone up to her ear and rested her head against the cool glass of the window, watching the city lights zoom by.
"Hello?" a voice yelled. Music was pounding in the background and Freddy was easily able to take her friend's slurring for drunkenness.
"Hey Grimms, it's me," she answered annoyed, knowing they were all out having fun without her.
"Freddy?" he asked, a little more soberly. "Is that you?"
"Yes," she sighed, slapping her palm to her forehead in frustration. "Are the others with you?"
She didn't need to hear the answer to her question because she heard a chorus of Hi Freddy's and one Hola Freddy Fucker from a certain person.
Grimmy put his ear back to the phone, smiling but still unsure as to why she was calling.
"Hey Freds," he slurred, swaying on his feet. Rita grabbed him by the waist and sat him in her lap. "Didn't you have a date tonight?"
"Yeah, he was a no show," she responded quickly, reaching inside her bag once more to grab a wad of cash and have it ready to hand the driver. " Are you guys at the usual?"
Nick paused for a moment, "Yeah," he murmured. "Are you sure you wanna go out-"
"Yeah, Grimms. I-" her voice broke. "I just really need to get smashed."
"Okay, just be careful yeah?" he asked kindly, alcoholic influence ridden from his voice."I'll make sure someone's outside to meet you."
"Thanks, Grimm," she smiled.
The five minute car ride was one spent by organizing her clutch which was equivalent to boredom. She had all her mascaras lined in a row on the seat when the cab pulled up to the curb.
"Here we are miss," the main said gruffly.
"Thanks," she muttered, handing him the cash, scooping the contents off the seat and into her purse, and stepping out of the cab onto the sidewalk. She looked from left to right, expecting to see someone she knew, but instead was faced with no one.
