"Hey honey, I'm home!" I sing out, jokingly.
Silence replies.
Whatever. My housemate mustn't be home yet. I toss my phone onto my kitchen bench and hang my bag up in my room. After a shower, I get changed into pj's and head back into the kitchen and prepare a cup of tea.
Just as I sit down, Amy comes crashing through the door, "Hey Troye! Sorry I'm late, work got held up and I swear, every traffic light decided to hate me on the way here." She whirls around the room, plopping her handbag next to my phone and grabs two drinks from the fridge. "What's up? You went good today?"
I take a sip before replying. Should I tell her of the monstrosity I found? Well, it's out of the Affection Zone so we're relatively safe... "Well, yeh, it's pretty huge though..." I attempt to brush it off but Amy remains silent as if to urge me on. I sigh, "I found an enormous area filled with a material much like radioactivity, if it was uncovered, it would devastate everything for ages all around. I am hoping that the archaeologists will heed my warning and try to cover it all up." I shift in my seat and rest my head on my chin.
