"Bret wait up" Bret hears his best friend Cam call out, Bret knew he was coming over to ask about the latest E-blast, but honestly it was the last thing on his mind. "I'm going to assume you saw Gossip Girl, do you have any interest in filling in your best friend on the latest juicy Upper East Side drama?" Bret sighed, "Look Cam I don't want to talk about this and you're going to make me late to baseball okay? Just back off what does Gossip Girl know anyways" and with that Bret brushed past a dumbfounded Cam.

Looks like B is getting pretty heated over the latest buzz, even C is clueless over it. Don't worry my dear readers, this secret won't stay secret too long.

Bret's phone goes off with the latest E-Blast, he can't believe this. How did she know, how could Gossip Girl know? There was only one other person who knew, and that was Caroline. And he knows that as soon as Eryn finds out, there is no going back. How did this get so out of control, he knew what he had to do, he had to go meet Caroline, see her in person.
"Hey meet me tonight at 6 in Central Park?- B"
Caroline pulls her phone out of her pocket seeing the text from Bret, she can't help but think of everything that was so wrong about it, but she also couldn't resist seeing him.
"See ya there- C"
Bret smiled at his phone, despite what everyone else felt he was happy Caroline was back.
"Taylor this is ridiculous. Who does Caroline think she even is? Disappearing for a year and coming back expecting everything would be fine and we would all just live in Caroline world?" Eryn nearly yelled, "Eryn maybe you should give her a chance? She clearly doesn't want things to be like this, you saw so yourself this morning." "Are you insane? Clearly this slut is still trying to get Bret even after all these years, and she is not going to mess up what we have. In fact I'm going to text Bret right now and plan a nice date tonight for Gossip Girl to post all about. That'll show Caroline that she can't have whatever she wants".
"Meet me tonight for drinks, say around 6?-E"
Bret hears his phone and looks down and sees a text from his girlfriend.
"Can't, baseball practice sorry- B"
He really did feel bad about lying to Eryn but he couldn't miss meeting up with Caroline tonight. He loved Eryn he knew that, but he also couldn't deny his unspoken feelings for Caroline that he's hidden for so long.
Eryn sees her phone and frowns at Bret's text. She sighs to herself, "Oh well. More champagne for me then" she thinks to herself. She also can't help but think of how lucky she is to have Bret, and how she can trust him. She smiles to herself knowing that Bret will be at baseball tonight while Caroline sits home alone, hopelessly seeking attention.
6 o'clock cannot roll around fast enough, Caroline pulls on simple jeans and a sweater and sets out for Central Park to meet Bret. She spots him sitting in sheep meadow, and smiles as they make eye contact as she goes over and sits down next to him. "Hey Bret!" His smile grows as he sees the girl he's known his whole life sitting down next to him, "Caroline hey, I'm so glad you came" "Of course Bret, we are still friends despite what Gossip Girl is making everyone think" she says with a bit of edge in her voice. "Hey look I know Gossip Girl has been targeting since your return, but what did you expect? You're the it girl of New York and you're back and of course people are gonna talk" he says smiling his classic Bret Archibald smile. "I know, but Eryn wants nothing to do with me" "Just give her time, you know Eryn. As soon as all this blows over it'll be fine. You're C and E nothing is gonna change that" Caroline knew he was trying to put her at ease, but it wasn't working, "Bret what if she finds out. She will never forgive us, and clearly Gossip Girl knows."
Bret's easy going smile dropped, "How could she know? We were the only ones in that room Caroline. It was our secret. And honestly if it gets out, I'm not sorry, I don't regret it Caroline, Caroline I've always lov-"
