OH LITTLE ONE
Oh little one
Whose face fixed with frown
Ashamed from falling down
From a tree across the town
With your high pitched cry
Shocked were those who pass by
And yet after receiving candy from a guy
You stopped and gave out a smile
While walking on the street
An ant bit your feet
Yet you don’t seem to flick
You’re so excited unwrapping that sweet
For a moment you were crying aloud
But now you’re flying on a cloud
How shallow you must be
After having a candy, you were that jolly
You were happily hopping and singing a song
When I realized, no, I was the one wrong
You weren’t happy ‘cause you’re shallow and small
I just can’t understand for I’m surrounded by a great wall
On material things I’ve been so concentrated
I make life so complicated
I neglect those small things that can make me happy
Small things like the act of that guy who gave you a candy
How comfortable you must be
Having a life so innocent and free
How I wish life’s the same for adults like me
standing up so proudly even after falling from a tree.
