Best Mistake

A/N --4:03AM Battery at 22% and I can't sleep. So I'm going to do the best I can with this update, so sorry if it's small and ignore any grammatical errors.

---Hussain's POV---

I had filed for divorce and today I took Vaishali out.

She told me she would have to go back home soon, since her parent's needed her back there.

After dinner we were sitting at the beach with her head in my shoulder and my arm around her waist.

"Hussain, why did you just throw me to the side when Esha came into your life?" She asked out of the blue.

"Because I'm a stupid idiot," I said.

"True," she said.

I made her look at me.

"Promise you that from here on out, I won't do anything stupid. I know I messed up and I got the punishment I deserve for it. I really want to give this another chance," I said.

"I know. Do you love me?" She asked.

I didn't even understand how to answer that.

"I don't know. I just got out of a horrible relationship, but I do know that I'm 1 million percent committed to the relationship that we are in," I said.

"Well, I still want to tell you that I love you. Since the day I've told you that the first time until now. I'm yours," she said.

Can I please kiss her now?

Damn, there I go thinking about kisses again.

I just pulled her near me and held her.

"We should head home," I said after awhile.

She agreed and we went.

The door to my room was locked. I took my key and opened the lock to find the same scene in front of me, as I did the other day.

"Sorry to bother you two. Just needed my PJs," I said.

I quickly found them and left the room.

I saw Vaishali's light on, so I knocked on the door.

I told her what happened, sitting on the sofa.

"You can sleep on my bed. I'll sleep on the sofa," she said.

"No, it's okay," I said. "I'll sleep here. You have the bed. Plus, you'll be leaving soon, so you need proper rest."

She sat by me.

"I can't get proper rest knowing that you are hurting," she said.

I smiled at her. She's so perfect? Why did I ever leave her?

"Go to sleep," she said.

She got her stuff to change and left. I set the sofa up for myself until then.

"What are you doing? I told you to sleep on the bed," she said.

"I told you to sleep on the bed," I said.

"Your stubborn," she complained.

"I know," I said laughing.

I turned to get something and she was about to lay on the sofa.

I pulled her to me and we both fell on it. In those moments, I saw her lips move but I was zoned out and didn't hear a word. I was looking at how beautiful she is.

I felt her pinch me.

"Ouch!" I yelled.

"I said let me go," she said annoyed.

"No can do. Can't let go of you again," I said.

"Okay, on one condition," I said.

I had to see her reaction to this.

"What?" She asked.

"Kiss me," I said.

Her eyes widened and mouth fell open in shock.

"Are you crazy?" She asked.

"Yes. I'm crazy about you," I said.

She blushed at that.

"Let me go! Someone will see us," she complained.

"Then you should kiss faster," I said.

"Ugh!" She yelled in frustration.

"I'm waiting," I said.

She kissed my cheek.

"Are you happy now?" She asked.

I shook my head.

"But it'll do for now," I said.

I let her go and she went to the bed after yet another argument.

I win, I thought to myself as I fell asleep on the sofa.
