What If...
Slenderman kidnap kids/teen/adults and train them to like an assasin, and be one of his "pasta's" and fight against Zalgo (with his demon army?) So that's why he stalk his "prey" first to see if they're capable of being one. If they're not that good enough, he'll get rid of them by leaving them alone and find his next "prey".
