In those days I made the blunder
Of dating Jeremiah the dunce
And I was beginning to realize
My own error, oh so blunt!
And I didn't truly realize
Till I saw Alice with Carl, so glad
And then I realized our fake love
Wasn't near what Alice had
And as the pairing rotted
From happiness to a trap of guilt
I cried as Alice held me near
And I ended my first relationship
But I cheered up at the semi formal
We all looked lovely in fine dresses
Giggling over each other
And adjusting our curled tresses
The lights were low, the music loud
The teens all dressed up nice
Some with class, others not so,
And the majority cool as ice
Also in attendance there,
The Fenders and the Snakes
I saw as I danced with Margaret
And Carl and Alice started to shake
But Kit-Kat in the worst excitement
Found us with bad news
Dear Roxie dancing with Jackson
In a dress of cobalt blues
She and June-Bug cried out
We Owls moaned in despair
When we saw the filthy animal
With his hand in Roxie's hair!
