I have noticed that some of the new members don't know about the BOTW. You guys have to read the book of the week also, mentioned in the weekly assignment page. If you want your book to be the BOTW, collect 150 points. Points are awarded as per the rules.
If you are very new, and not have been yet given an assignment, its optional for you to read the BOTW if you want 20 points in advance though no negative points will be given if you don't do it. (this is just for very new members)
