We pulled up to a massive mansion, one you would expect royals to live in. It's height loomed threateningly over me and I stared up at it in half wonder and half terror. "Are you ready?" Nathan asked squeezing my hand. I nodded and we walked to the front door. I was holding Tyler in his carrycot while Nathan held Nina in hers. He knocked and then quickly opened the door.

"Honey! What are you doing here?" A tall woman said walking in. So far so good.

"Hey mom. Thought I'd come for a quick visit." Nathan said shutting the door.

"And who's this?" She asked, eyes narrowed. She was a lean woman with straight blonde hair and makeup on her face. She looked like she smiled rarely as frown lines were prominent on her face. I had a feeling she didn't like me already.

"Mom this is my girlfriend, Sienna." Nathan said and I kept my composure but I wanted to scream at him. When in the hell did we make this official? Maybe it was just less awkward to say girlfriend than the girl I knocked up - who I'm also casually sleeping with.

"Nathan! We talked about this! You are marrying Crystal for the company! Ryan!" She yelled stamping her heel against the hard wood floor. I had never seen a grown woman act so childish and I almost wanted to laugh, that was before her angry eyes settles on me. I gulped as a tall, tan man walked in.

"Stephanie what's wrong? Ah Nathan, a nice surprise." He said walking to his wife.

"He brought his 'girlfriend' Ryan! I can't believe this. You said you would marry Crystal so that more publicity could focus on this company. You know things are going downhill Nathan! Plus we have the gala tonight and you decided to drop this bomb?! Seriously!" She yelled and I thought she was about to start crying. Over who her son is dating. So far she hadn't said anything about me, which I was seriously thankful for. Nina started crying and Stephanie silenced herself staring shocked at the scene in front of her. Nathan took Nina out of her carrycot and started soothing her until she fell straight back asleep. I feel like Stephanie is gonna need a whole lot more soothing in a minute. "Mom meet my daughter, Nina." Nathan said a smile gracing his features. Can you guess what happened next?

Nathan's mom fainted.

I stayed silent as Ryan fanned Stephanie. I felt like it was some sort of dramatic movie and I was the one awkward extra, who didn't know what the hell was happening. Nathan gave me Nina and then went over and lifted her onto the sofa. Soon, she woke with a start. "Oh good god please tell me you didn't say daughter!" She said instantaneously. She looked over at us pleadingly and I gulped.

"Well-" Nathan started and his mother shrieked. "I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! She's not really your daughter right? You just fell in love with this, this girl, and your resuming the role as the father who abandoned his kids? Right?" Stephanie asked and Ryan looked over at us. His lips pursed. We had filled him in on everything when Stephanie passed out.

"Not exactly Mrs. Anderson. They're Nathan's kids." I said interrupting the silence. It didn't seem like Nathan was going to answer.

"You! What money do you want? Huh you hooker!? Your just using my son!" She said pointing her fingers wildly at me.

"We took a paternity test mom. They're mine." Nathan interrupted. I'd been called worse when I announced I was going to be a single mother, so it didn't bother me in the slightest. "I'm so disappointed in you. I cannot believe this!" She said putting her head in her hands. Tyler was wide awake staring up at me from his carry cot. I picked him up and silently placed him on my lap. I knew he was dying to sit down on the floor and try and stand up. It was both of the twins new task.

"Mom I'm really sorry that you feel that way. But I'm not the slightest bit disappointed in myself. I love these twins with all my heart."

"Twins?!"

And she fainted again.

Later on when everything had been fully explained. Stephanie held her grandchild. She was rigid as she stared down at Tyler who looked up at the strange lady. "He has your eyes Ryan." She muttered and then shoved him back at me. "Look. I'll offer you whatever money you want to leave Nathan right his minute." Stephanie said monotonously. "W-what?" I asked shocked. Nathan had gone off to the bathroom so I presumed that's why she asked me now. We were alone.

"Steph now-"

"Be quiet Ryan. We need to cover up this awful mistake."

Stunned I stayed quiet. I cannot believe this.

"You can call me whatever you want but you will not call my children mistakes! I don't care if this doesn't fit into your perfect little plan with your son because it happened and I'm not going away. No matter what money you offer me." I yelled disgusted. How could somebody be this controlling? Sure it's a shock for to you find out your now a grandmother in the space of five minutes but she could act a little more professional.

"You offered her money?!" I didn't miss the slight shock and regret flash through Stephanie's eyes before she put on her emotionless mask. "Your mother was just-"

"I don't give a flying fuck! You can't meddle in my life anymore Mom. Just be glad I had the decency to come and tell you unlike Aiden. I don't care about your stupid company and I never will. Have a nice life." He grabbed my wrist and we left.
