Chapter 15: Days in the sun

Christine walked away from the bed as the phantom fell asleep,
And sat near some of his servants. "What happens when the last petal falls," Christine asked. "The master remains deformed forever, and we become..." Firmin couldn't bring himself to finsh, "Rubbish we become rubbish knick knacks."
Piangi said. Christine then became curious "why do you care about him so much, he cursed you so how and you did nothing." Madam giry noded sadly "you've got that right deary, you see when the master lost his mother and his cruel father took that sweet lad away and made him just like him, we did nothing." Christine looked over at the sleeping phantom and she could swear she heard someone singing. While the phantom rested he remembered the time he sang for his sick mother when he was a young boy.
" days in the sun, when my life has barely begun, not intill my whole life is done will I ever leave you."
Meanwhile in the ballroom Firmin was dancing with Carlotta and they were also singing. "Will I tremble again, to my dear one gorgeous refrain,"
"Will you now and forever remain, out of reach of my arms."
"All those days in the sun, what I'd give to relive just one, undo what's done and bring the light." Madem Giry sang sadly watching Firmin and Carlotta dance.
In her room Christine also stared to sing, " how in the midst of the sorrow, can so much hope and love endure, I was innocent but certain now i'm wiser but unsure.
I can't go back into my childhood, one that my father made secure, I can feel a change in me, I'm stronger now but still not free."
A couple days later Christine took the cloth she had placed off the phantom face, since he was healing nicely.
"Days in the sun, will return we must believe, as lovers do that days in the sun will come shining though."
