Katie settled down in her bed at home, exhausted from the crazy day. It didn't take her long before she fell asleep while thrashing back and forth and moaning in fear.
Katie walked down the trail hand in hand with Jace down into the woods. The waterfall was nearby and she kept shaking from fear.
"Someone is going to catch us, I don't want to do this," she whispered toward her fiancé.
"Too bad," Jace says while shrugging.
The dream flashes forward:
She sobs uncontrollably while trying to lift Jace onto her shoulders. There's blood all over him and she struggles to pull him up the hill. In her adrenaline she is somehow able to carry this slightly obese short man over her back. Jace's hands keep thumping against her back painfully against the bruises she already had on her back from his abuse.
The dream flashes forward again:
Katie drags his body from the ground now, too exhausted to lift him any longer. In the background she hears a distant sound of rushing water as she travels through another set of woods, completely different than the one they set out in.
Katie wakes up in confusion, wondering if any of it is true or if her mind is making her think she did horrible things. If she did, why did she do it, and what did they do in the woods?
