...............................................................................................
Early afternoon sunlight filtered between the curtains, a warm breeze moving the fabric gently as a feather on a breeze and staff bustled about passing outside a patient's room with paperwork, medical supplies and treating other patients minor or serious.
A girl was sleep in the room, her dark brown hair had lost some curl spread across the pillow, another finger twitched and her closed eyes moved back in forth as if having a bad memory become intensely, more darker than she remembered.
So many walkers, very little time I watch my hands take a life of their own lifting to aim at my parents who had fallen to the floor, I turned my head away.
Bang.
When I look at my hands, the gun was gone and in its place was crimson dripping between my fingers. 'You killed them.' An emotionless voice said, I meet my reflection and see myself in the glass. '
I didn't want to but they were turning and forced me.'
The girl raised an eyebrow ,next to her was my old self. 'So little time...their blood is on your hands...Yuki...' they seem to pass through into glass in physical form and slowly approach me,
'...your fault... You could have saved Miko...and save Yui sooner..''There was no other way.' I answer defended, putting my hands over my ears , the girls seem to pause one foot in front of me, then lunged onto me and was absorbed Ifelt my heart beat hard in my chest.
Present her heart rate went up a notch, and Yuki gasped, eyes opening and sat up with a jolt : shaky breaths as her eyes take in unfamiliar surroundings.
Where am I? ... Calm down and take deep breaths Yuki.
Yuki thought seeing beds with machines, beeping in the background she looks down to see she was wearing nothing more a hospital gown, and locket on her wrist was a wristband with scribbled note.
This is a hospital.. question is how did I get here?
Yuki thought pulling the cords off her wrists, and mask off her mouth to breath in cleaning detergent and medicine.
Then .. the last thing I remembered was , I was feeling the after effects as the pain killers wore off and starting to die, when the Mukamis showed up. I ... was against being saved... but Ruki was insistent and at the last minute realized I didn't want to die because there was something I had to do...
The girl frowned pulling the collar of the gown back to reveal... a white scar across her chest where her heart should be.
if I am alive then that means....
I touch the scar gingerly, it was real. I gag putting a hand over my mouth, felt a little dizzy as reality all came crashing down on me. Nearly making me fall back down on the bed.
Oh god... no...Yui...
Yui Komori had sacrificed herself, choosing to save Yuki over herself so the girl would live.
Yuki threw the blanket back, pushing the rail down before swinging her legs over the side, noticing a vase of fresh white roses on the small table along with the sling bag, she paused to stretch out a hand to touch a single white rose.
Strange, these are fresh.. who are they from?
I searched for a tag, or card but found nothing to say who the sender was, there was a get well card beside the vase from someone... picking it up and read.
