Day by day, I went up in flames. Swallowed up in smoke,
Choking at every breath,
Engaging a slow dance of death.
Those wispy sirens out of nowhere,
Came up slipping kisses on my lips,
Luring me into dark alleyways
Then vanishing before I could get a grip,
Leaving me longing for more
With a lust so pure.

Forgot warning bells, of the ugly displays
You left in your wake, distrust and despair
My miserable future had been foretold,
Still it was you that I chose.
This lust had felt like the perfect cure.
You dug those willowy fingers
Into my lungs, and your
Curse spread over like Black Death.
And yet I awaited for a healing,
From that poisonous antidote.
For now, I am one of them.
The ones they called Cloud Breathers.
