Andrew

As soon as she turned around I looked at her. Waiting to see if she looked back. I sincerely had so many questions going on in my head. She's- she's different. She's pure and unique. She's extremely shy but she knows how to stand up for herself. She. She's scared, she's hurt. About something I have to discover. I do like her, a lot. And I'm willing to try and try until I have nothing else to give. She's not easy. But she's worth everything I have. I drove to my job and parked my mums car. I walked towards the building and saw my dad come out. Lost in thoughts I bumped into someone. "I- um sorry. Oh hey dad." "You ok Andrew?" "Yeah yeah I'm fine." "You don't look fine." "I was just thinking." "Is it a girl? He he?" I looked down. "Oh it is. After-" "yes dad... after her." "Are You over it?" "I- I don't know." "And you are seeing someone if you don't know you are over the other one?" "Dad. I just, give me a break... I really like this one. For real." "Ok, whatever you say Andrew." "Bye dad." I walked in the building and saw my best friend. "Oh hey man." I said giving him a hug. "You ok man?" "I think I like someone." His eyes winded. "You think you what?" "You heard me..." "But, for real?" "Yes Matthew! For real!" I said snapping and walking away. I walked to my office and worked for the rest of the day. As soon as I finished I drove to my mums house. "Hey mum!" "Hey baby." She said giving me a hug. "How are you?" "Can we talk mum?" "Of course... I'll make some tea." I sat on the dining room table. She has been ok my mind the entire day... The sun started to go down. The rays of the sun illuminated my mums dinning room making all the diamond decoration shine. I got lost in thought for like the billion time today. "Andrew!" "Yes sorry mum." "Here." She handed me a cup of rich tea. As soon as I drank it remind me of her. It was sweet but a bit sour in some way. It was rare, I couldn't make up what kind of tea flavour it was. "Andrew what's wrong?" "Mum... I- I think I like someone..." "The girl of the car crash..." "Yeah." "Please don't hurt her Andrew... tell her, please tell her what you went through. I know that if she really likes you she'll stay... please don't hurt anyone else. And if you aren't ready. Don't be with her." I nodded, I needed to see her again... every day. I needed to tell her. Shot! What time is it! "Mum what time is it?!" "21:30. Why?" "I have to pick her up! Mum thanks a lot! I'll bring you the car tomorrow. I love you!" I ran out and got in the car and drove off. I was driving towards her job when I saw a woman walking with a big black case. That's her. I quickly stopped beside her. She startled and tried to look through the windows of the car. I got out of the car and she smiled when she saw me. "Hey! Aren't you supposed to be working?" I said. "No... they closed today." "Come I'll give you a ride." "I'm really clo-" "Please." I insisted. We got everything in the car and she sat by my side. "You walked from uni?" "Yeah." "Why didn't you call me?" "I don't know jaja." "Please, next time call me." "Ok.." she said low. "For real, it's dangerous." "What?" "Walking all by yourself. During the night!" I said quite annoyed. "Ok I'm sorry, jeez." "I just worry ok... I don't want anything to happen to you." "I'm sorry." "Don't be.." we quickly got to her house. She sighed "thank you, for picking me up." She said smiling. "You ok?" I asked her. "Do you want to come inside? I can make something to eat." "If it's ok with you." "Of course. Come." She said slightly smiling. She got her things from the car and walked towards the door. "Need help?" "No, its ok." "You sure?" "I don't like people-" "Helping you? Yeah I've figured." She stopped and turned around "I was going to say, helping me with my music things. at least carrying instruments." She turned around and kept walking. She opened the door and walked in. "This is my little flat. Hope you like it. If you don't, don't tell me. What do you want to eat?" "This place is really pretty. It's cozy." I said smiling. I like cozy places. "Andrew?" I looked towards her. "Yes?" "Thinking much?" I chuckled. She has no idea. "What do you want to eat? Pasta?" "Sure. Whatever you want to eat." She rolled her eyes and smiled. She turned around and I took the chance to look at her. This one, I don't want to hurt this one because of my past... I want to shelter her and keep her to myself. I want her to be my property. "How was your day?" She asked. "It was ok." "Ok huh?" "Want to talk about it?" "No, don't worry I'm fine." "Jumm ok." She handed me the food and sat down in front of me. "Tell me more about you. Why did you moved here? Tell me about your family, mum, siblings." She sighed. "Ok. Where do you want me to start?" "Your mum?" She smiled. "Sure, well my mum is my mum. Her name is River, yes, River. She was born in Puerto Rico, she currently lives in the US with my aunt. She is a nail artist. We don't look alike, just a bit-" "Lise." "Yes?" "Tell me about your mum." "Do not push it. Please. She's my mother. And that's what matters." She said standing up and taking her empty plate to the kitchen. "My mums name is Victoria. She is extremely kind and sweet until you get her mad jajaja. She is the best thing I could ever ask for. My parents live together, I have a brother and a sister. I'm the middle sibling and my sister is the big one, therefor my brother is the small one. He is really mature for his age." "Your family sounds perfect." She said chuckling, i felt sorry because I don't know how her family is. "When's your birthday?" She asked. "December 15." "Waoh, I Love December." "You do?" "Favorite season of the year." "I see, I prefer fall." "Really? That's my nanas favorite season." "Its beautiful. When all the colours mix up, the leaves, the weather." "You do like it, don't you?" "Yup." I said chuckling. "Favorite tea?" "Oh chai." She said. "Yours?" "Herbs." "oh herbs aye woop. jajajajaj" She laughed out load, her laugh made me laugh too. Its contagious. "Want to watch a film?" "Do you have a balcony?" I asked. "Got tired of me already that you are asking for a balcony to jump from." She laughed again. "No I just like balconies and roof tops." "You do?" She said looking at me. "Yeah." She nodded and kept wiping the counter. "I'll make some tea and we'll go somewhere." Some minutes passes and she handed me the tea. "Come, she said." we walked through a balcony and went up some stairs. "This is my favorite place." "Its beautiful." "Take a sit." I sat down and watched her. "Why do you have two chairs?" She looked at me and looked away. "Why would I have one?" I chuckled "Wisy they call you huh?" "Do you like the tea?" "You are so good when it comes to changing subjects." "I'm good when it comes to many things." "Wooopp that sounded baddd jajajaja." She said crackling up. "I do like the tea, its really good." "Why thank you." After some minutes we finished. "I like your name Andrew." She said. "You do? jajaj thanks." "You are welcome." We stayed watching the view. Soon the flicker of the stars invaded the navy blue sky. The moon took its place and it couldn't be more beautiful. She stood up and started walking towards the stairs. i stood up and picked the pace. I pulled her by her arm making her turn around and lightly collapse with my frame. She tensed up. She tookk a quick glance of my face and looked to the side. "What?" "You look pretty." She rolled her eyes and turned around. "Heyy." I pulled her around again, I caressed her cheek and smiled down at her. She looked up to me and stared, I leaned closer to kiss her but she moved her head. "Nope." she said smiling. She turned around and walked down the stairs. "Are you coming??" I heard her call out. "Yeah on my way." I said chuckling.
