The door swung open with a creek as Jon stepped back into 332 Maple Drive. He was surprised to see a flurry of activity in the dimly lit living room, as it paused for the moment when he entered.
"Hey Jon is back!" TJ gave a crooked grin as he dropped a dufflebag to the carpeted floor with a loud flop and shoved his hands in his pockets. TJ was outfitted in his usual attire; wearing an oversized black hoodie, with a Socialist anarchy patch sewn onto the right forearm, zipped up to his neck. A pair of tan cargo shorts that nearly matched the dirty blonde of his fur. And to top off the outfit a pair of filthy black hightops on his hooves and expensive studio headphones around his neck 'TJ represents the duality of man.' TJ was rugged, yet not unattractive by any means. Passive green eyes. A single lip piercing marred his face along with a thin scar that ran the length of his cheek. A few ear piercings littered his right ear, causing a nearly consistent twitch every eight minutes or so. However, to say that these were among the most notable of TJ's features would be amiss, as the first thing most individuals notice, is the short stump when an antler should be mirrored by the full one beside it.
"Yay..." Came an unenthusiastic response from Danny who was bent over digging through a cardboard box for something. 'Well he seems to be in a pretty shit mood.'
"Where'd you run off to anyway Jon?" Vikky prodded piercing Jon with an icy blue gaze, large round ears alert. She was leaning against the large limestone fireplace, smoking, and attempting to brush her shoulder length blue and black hair out of her face. The mouse had her grey fur colored arms crossed, crumpling the denim vest and white t-shirt she had on. Most people would have been shocked or embarrassed to see what only made Jon roll his eyes. Vikky had nothing but a pair of black panties on aside from her vest and shirt combo.
"Well put on some pants and I might be inclined to tell you." Jon still hadn't removed the rags from his paws nor had he left the light bulb at the store, instead opting to take it with him. A bulb he was now using to gesture from Vikky to the stairs.
"Doubt it, don't think she even knows where they are." Dan quipped from his box.
"I do to! I was just being lazy, and I haven't unpacked yet. Besides this is our house we can do what we want!" Vikky smirked and gave a shrug before heading up the stairs.
"So where did you go? And why does it look like you thought you were gonna get jumped?" TJ motioned with his muzzle toward Jon's paws.
"I'll explain once Vikky finds some pants." Jon rested the fluorescent light against the wall and began undoing the knots in the rags around his paws. Jon motioned toward the front of the house with his head. "You guys get the van unpacked?"
"No thanks to you..." Dan muttered under his breath as he closed the box, and sat down on top of it. 'I'll just pretend I didn't hear that.'
"Yeah! All unpacked... Sooo what exactly are we gonna do now?" TJ said, flicking his ear.
"Million dollar question there. We are all gonna pile in the van and go shopping." Jon sat cross legged on the carpeting, leaning his head back against the wall. Jon put his bag on his lap and pulled out the laptop within. "TJ we got some social media stuff to deal with," Jon handed off the laptop to the deer. " you're better at that stuff than I am, besides I got things I need to deal with. You find the phone?"
"Yeah I found it." TJ pulled a small out of date smart phone from a pocket on his shorts and tossed it to Jon who tucked it in his jacket. TJ opened the laptop and began typing before following up his statement. "There is hardly any reception out here. Also that's it? we're just shopping, for what exactly?" Vikky strolled downstairs, wearing a pair of jeans and a purple hoodie instead of her previous vest, shirt combo.
