When Olivia and Nick become best friends at 9 years old, will they be able to stay together? Is 'promise' enough for Olivia?

After I get off the phone with Olivia I can't wipe the smile off my face, I get to see my beautiful girlfriend sooner than expected, and honestly, I've never been happier. I'm glad I chose to go to rehab. I'm doing this for Olivia, for our life together, cause honestly I can't imagine my life without her by my side. I'm surprised she's still with me after everything that's happened.
2 weeks later
*Olivia's POV* I miss Nick so bad! It's been nearly 3 months since I've seen him, but he's only got another couple of weeks until he's done.
To take my mind off things I've decided to spend the day with Alicia, we're gonna go to the mall for the day. It's currently 8:30 in the morning and I'm meant to be leaving now to pick her up, only problem is I've just woken up..... oops! I better call her to say I'm going to be late. I grab my phone while putting on my shirt and dial her number. She answers almost instantly.
"Hey Liv, what's up?" She says as I'm putting my bread in the toaster. "Hey... well.... umm I've kinda just woken up so I'm going to be a little late." I say while getting the peanut butter out for my toast. "No problem, I don't mind waiting a bit longer." She says. "Okay cool, cya soon babe." I chuckle. "Bye honey." She says while laughing as she hangs up. We always call each other those sappy lovey dovey names as an inside joke, it always makes us laugh.
After breakfast I run upstairs to brush my teeth and put on a bit of foundation and mascara. I quickly put my shoes on and head out the door to my car. I check the time and see it's almost 9, there's also a text from Nick, it reads 'hey beautiful! Alicia says you guys are going shopping today, have fun baby!! Oh and also I have some good news......... I'm coming home next week!! Miss you so much babe ;) love you :)' I quickly text him back saying how happy I am that he's coming home and that I love him too and then I make my way to pick up Alicia.
Alicia and I make it to the mall by 9:30 and start to walk around while chatting. "So did Nick tell you good news?" I ask Alicia while walking into a shop and looking at some pretty dresses. "Yeah, he rung mom this morning while I was still asleep and she told me." She says, putting a dress up to her body to see if it will fit. "It's so great that he's done this! Soon we'll have the old Nick back." I smile at the memories of when we were younger and before he got into drugs. " I know, it's amazing!! Hey, you should get a new dress and wear it for when he gets home, I know he'll love it!" She exclaims while looking around for the perfect dress. "OH MY GOD! I FOUND IT!" I hear Alicia yell from somewhere. I look around and try to find where she is. I turn around and find her holding this amazing short red dress with a silver belt.

"That's amazing oh my god!" I put it up to my body and it seems like a perfect fit. "Go try it on!" Alicia says while pushing me in the direction of the dressing rooms. I go inside one and put it on, I walk out and show Alicia. As soon as she sees me her mouth opens. "You look amazing Olivia!" She says while motioning for me to spin around. I comply and go to hug her. "You definitely have to buy that" I nod my head and go back in the dressing room to change back into my clothes. I come out and head over to the counter where Alicia is patiently waiting for me. I buy the dress and we go and have lunch. We spend the rest of the day walking around and looking at clothes. I drive her back to her house and then head home. When I get home I decide to text Nick. 'Hey babe! I'm so excited to see you next week! I bought a little surprise for when you get back ;) love you baby!'
