EM'S P.O.V

"Mum! Dad! Jai saved me!" Marcus ran through the door giving his mum and dad a massive hug and kiss. They gave me a puzzled look and I gave them an exhausted relieved one. I am so so thankful that Jai spotted the guy running or else, I would've been coming home today crying and weeping about how I lost Marcus. If it wasn't for him, My cousin could be on the news reported as missing.

"Jai?" Uncle Cage repeated to Marcus.

I sat next to them. "Marcus nearly got kidnapped." i admitted. I didnt want them to think I was irresponsible and I wasn't looking after him when I was. One minute we were looking for carrots and the next he wasn't behind me.

Aunt May and Uncle Cage's eyes widened and looked at Marcus and then me. Aunt May covered her face."How could you be so irresponsible, Emerald?"

I guess her hang over is finished. I was hoping I didnt have to go through a massive lecture.  Uncle Cage looked at me with sympathy. Okay maybe, I was a little bit irresposible and I wasn't looking at Marcus.There was a bit of disapointment but  he was sad. Marcus shook his head violently, "Wasn't her fault. i ran away as a joke at the start"

"You what?" I did not know that. i just thought the guy grabbed him from behind me. Thats why we still found him after an hour because he was probably hiding for the first half hour. Cheeky thing.

"I wanted to play hide and seek" He mumbled sadly. Aunt may looked at Marcus.

"Promise me you will NEVER EVER do that again, Marcus Cage"  Aunt May raised her voice. Marcus started tearing up and let go of his mother and ran over to me, giving me a hug. I lifted him up and carried him .

"You learnt your lesson, Marcus" I said, softly. We were both in deep shit and we knew it.

"So who is Jai?" Uncle Cage asked since Marcus mentioned him earlier.

"He was actually at the anniversary yesterday" I mumbled. Thats when my parents came downstairs.

"Whats going on?" My dad asked. Marcus still hanged on me for dear life.

Aunt May explained everything with a cold tired tone and Mum and Dad shook thier heads at the both of us.

"Wait. So Jai was at the annivesary yesterday?" Uncle Cage repeated. I chuckled sheepishly.Uncle Cage wasn't impressed with Jai and his mates just stepping in and screaming out innapropriate words yesterday.

"You see...he was the guy that danced with me yesterday" I chewed my lip. 

"At least he saved our son" Aunt May said. Damn right he did. I wanted to point out that she thought he was cute but it didnt seem like the best time to.

"We should invite him over" Uncle Cage said "To thank him"

I scratched my head. "Im actually seeing him tomorrow , at the city and he's picking me up so you can meet him then"

My mum crossed her arms . "And who said you can go to the city?" She used her as-a-matter-of-fact tone, trying to be a smart ass.Why is everyone being so horrible?  I had a bad day, where my cousin nearly got kidnapped and this guy was kind enough to help, and guess what? he saved my cousin and I want to get to know him.
