ArShi FF: Love Conquers All ( ON HIATUS)

KHUSHI POV: #SLAP# before he could react I hastily left, not wanting to spend one more minute at the
party. I was heading to the direction of the door when I heard an announcement that made me freeze and my blood run cold.

ARNAV POV: I was stunned and shocked not for the slap but for what I was about to do before that, how could be that reckless and out of control . Why is whenever i'm around her I loose myself?!
"Not anymore" I angrily told myself. Trying to rein in my anger and the little bit of self-control I have left I joined the party, only to be hit with another situation.

"Devraniji so when is your grandson going to get married?"...."I mean this live-in relationship relationship your grandson is in with this girl isn't going to last forever or am I mistaken?" one of the socialites snidely asked. Naniji looking very uncomfortable and ashamed looked at Anjali whose mirroring the. look at the same time putting a comforting hand on Lavanya's shoulder,who in turn is looking down guiltily feeling responsible for this. Arnav who is deathly glaring at the situation then looks at Khushi beeline to the door gains everyone's attention including a red cladded beauty.

"I have an announcement to make!" Arnav said while slowly walking to Lavanya. Then slipping his hand into hers said."I have decided to get engaged to my girlfriend Lavanya".The family were all wearing shocked but smiling faces and the jealous socialite was looking miffed, there were mumbles then clapping everyone was happy except for Khushi who was stunned watching what just took place.

KHUSHI POV: Numb that's all I felt and the sound around me ceased to exist. He was looking straight at me while he spoke as if to show me where he stands or who. Not noticing Lavanya who walked up to me was shaking my arm taking me out of my trance. "Khushi i'm so happy this all thanks to you."said Lavanya with a beaming smile on her face."Khushi aren't you happy for me for me" Lavanya curiously said.
Finally looking at her I put on bright smile and said "Of course I am, this what you always wanted Mubarak , I'm happy for you." Hugging her I looked over my shoulder and saw him watching us and a lone tear made its way down my face;wiping it away I came out of the embrace and continued to smile, hoping that it hides the growing pain inside.

Everyone was congratulating the newly engaged couple Naniji called HP to serve the ladoos (Indian sweetmeats). Khushi to handed out them out eventually stopping in front of a stoic Arnav handing the sweets to him Lavanya interrupted saying "ASR can't have any sweets he's allergic".Khushi looked at her then again at Arnav said" Don't worry their sugar free ". While everyone laughed Arnav looked at Khushi tenderly.
