Max's POV
I drank some coffee from my mug when the phone ranged.
"Hello".
"Are you Max Anderson"?
"Yeah who is this".
"The hospital, Hunter Connors tried to commit suicide today, you are his guardian right"?
At the hospital
Hunter's POV
"And then the ambulance came and now here we are".
"Thanks for that 45 minute explanation Christina".
"Well someone has an attitude".
"Why would you even try to stop me"?
"In my defense, you're the one that couldn't get the bottle open, all you had to do was push down and twist".
"I don't even know who I am anymore".
"Well you're Hunter Connors-".
"I meant hypothetically".
Max walked in.
"Christina, hall".
Christina followed him out in the hall. I put my ear up to the door.
Christina's POV
"What happened"?
"Hunter left a note on my door and it was a suicide note, when I got to his house, he was trying to open some pills, so now what"?
"I talked with the doctor and he said that they're going to put him in therapy and after that a foster home".
"Why can't he just live with you"?
"Because-".
"Because he doesn't want me, that's fine, I don't need you, I never needed nobody"!
He ran down the hallway. I looked at Max.
"I got him".
Max's POV
I ran after Hunter. Then I heard gunshots. I ran towards them and found Hunter on the ground. Bleeding.
"He tried to take my gun and I shot him in the side".
I looked at Hunter holding onto his side. I tried to pick him up but that only made it worse.
"Hunter-".
"Don't, I'm going to see my mom in heaven".
"GET A DOCTOR"!
I turned back to Hunter.
"Hunter breathe".
"I can't this time, you have to let me go, tell Christina I'll miss her, I'll miss you too".
"Hunter-".
"See you on the other side".
I shook him.
"Hunter"?
His eyes had no life in them. I held his lifeless body in my arms. I'll never forget Hunter Connors. He was special. He was my student and son.
