LOVE OR WAR? [ON HOLD]

Chapter 8

Charlie's POV
              As soon as we reached home... Aaron's mom greeted me warmly engulfing me in a bear hug. She asked me if I was OK now, courtesy of Aaron. I said I was and she said we can go upstairs. Before we went upstairs she called out to me and said, " A bucket of choco chip ice-cream is there in the fridge. You can have some if you want. Don't let Aaron get his hands on it." She whispered. "Ahhhhh, no doubt I love you so much. I love you, Sarah." I smiled widely and hugged her.
         My mum and Sarah were bestfriends just like me and Aaron. Ever since my mum died, Sarah treated me like her own daughter. That's the reason I even called her mum sometimes. Her face would light up everytime I would call her mum. She always wanted a daughter but got 2 sons instead. So, when my mum died she found a reason to raise me up like her own daughter. Not that she did not do that when mum was alive but I was too small at that time to even remember. Dad tells me Sarah was always here whenever I needed mum.
             So I took the ice-cream and went upstairs. As soon as he saw it in my hands he asked me, "where did you get it from? Oh god, wait that's my freaking share of the ice-cream how could you do that. Just wait till I get you." And he ran after me I circled all around his room. "Ahhhhh, save me. God, monster. Ahhhhh"  "What? You... How dare you call me a monster. Wait. Wait, I said." He was fast and caught and was trying to snatchy ice-cream when we got hit by a pillow.
          "Keep it low, would you? God, how much do y'all fight? Everytime, you two are together there's commotion in this place. A person can't even sleep." And that my dear friends is Shawn, Aaron's younger brother. I and Aaron smiled at each other, knowing exactly what we thought we were about to do. "By the way, if I wouldn't have known better I would have thought something was up between you two. But, that's the position I find you two in everytime I find you two fighting. I'm accustomed to it by now." He said mocking us. It was true though. Everytime he found us, we would be in a compromising position.
            But we did not listen to him. And threw a pillow at him and told him to get out. He left and we laughed as usual. "Now give me my ice-cream." "No ways, it's mine." I said getting up and running downstairs.
            "Sarah! Sarah! Sarah!" I said running towards her in the kitchen and standing behind her, so Aaron would not get me. "Sarah, tell him. Tell him this is my ice-cream." I pouted at her. "Mom, no this is my ice-cream. How could you give it to her." He whined. "Oh honey, come on. You have it always anyways. Let her have it today. I promise I'll buy you another one." She said. "Why? I want one too" I pouted. She laughed and promised both of us that she would buy us ice-cream. But we had to share it today. So we both went back upstairs and decided on watching a movie.
            I remember how he was rude to Maya today so I asked him, " Why did you shout on Maya today? " He tensed beside me and I knew something was wrong. "Nothing princess." He said. "Stop lying, Aaron. She ran away crying. Did you even talk to her after that? " "No. But I got scared,princess. I was just scared and I did not know what I was doing. You know I wouldn't do that ever." He said. I believed him. That explained why he was practically growling at everyone after that. So I just nodded. "Talk to her soon. She would be upset." He nodded and went downstairs to get us some food.
             So I took out my phone and texted Maya.
( C=charlie, M= Maya)
C: Hey:)
M: Hie, how are you now?
C:  I'm fine. And wau?
M: Me too.
C: I'm so sorry about Aaron. He was just scared. I promise he'll apologise and talk to you soon. I'll make sure he does.
M: No, don't. It's fine. I'm not upset. I can understand why he did what he did. Anyone would do the same if in his place.
C: Are you sure?
M: Ya sure, besides I need to meet you soon. I need to tell you something exciting.
C: God, no. Why would you do this? Don't keep me hanging. Tell me right now :(
M: Uh-huh. You'll have to wait honey. OK now I'll go buhbye. Xoxo
And with that she left. Aaron came in with some more food and we completed the movie.
