Marcia was waiting at the Wizard Tower gates. She looked as young as ever. Alice often wondered how this woman was possible.
"There you are!" She scoffed. Ethan looked at her flatly. Why couldn't that woman wait for a moment or two? Marcia gave him a death look and he backed off. She grabbed her cloak fiercely.
"Alice. We need a boat." She stated. Alice gave her a glare. Marcia didn't seem to notice or care.
"We have one." Alice replied pointing at Nicko. Marcia arched her brow and started towards the boat yard. A strong breeze blew against Marcia and she shivered.
"Daft wind." She muttered. Nicko looked up at the sky. He turned to Snorri and shook his head. The sky was grey and looked as if was going to rain.
"Looks like a storm." He said. Snorri nodded. This wasn't good sailing weather. Marcia turned back to them.
"What are you waiting for? I trust Alice, but it's your boat." She scoffed. Snorri shook her head. Nicko ran to catch up with her.
Torri looked at Ethan and shrugged. It looked like it was going to storm, but Marcia didn't care. Torri thought Marcia was a strange woman.
Ethan shrugged back.
When they reached the boat yard, Nicko led them to their boat. He had just bought it with Snorri. On the side read Sum. Nicko had gotten the name from something Septimus had told him. In a way, it was a memory of him. The boat was carved with cherry oak and had beautiful red sails. Snorri and Nicko fixed it up themselves. It was their equivalent to a child.
"So what is she called." Alice asked quietly. She missed sailing. It reminded her of her younger life. A faint smile crossed her lips.
"Her name is Sum. Inspired by something Sep said. I guess it stuck with me." Nicko sighed. They all missed him. Torri walked up to Sum and touched the hard wood. It felt smooth from sanding and travel.
"Isn't that a DARKE name? The way it's arranged sounds like one." Torri asked. She herself was unsure. Torri turned to Alice and Nicko. Snorri untied the ladder.
"Come aboard." She said pointing to the ladder. Torri started to climb up. When she reached the top she was in awe. It was beautifully carved and had a large and spacious looking cabin.
"Wow." Torri whispered. Ethan climbed up behind Torri. He was absolutely awestruck. Nicko climbed up last last.
"Welcome to the Sum." He said proudly.
