Katelyn's POV

I had entered the kitchen because my mom yelled for me. "do you have any plans tonight, kate?" Replying quickly, I say,  "Yes, I'm going to the mall with Cassadee and Cambree". "Those plans are canceled. I need you to watch Braxton".(baby brother) I know I'm 17 but I wined anyway. "NO!" I yelled. My mom jumped In. "YOUNG LADY, IF YOU WANT ME TO PAY YOUR PHONE BILL I SUGGEST YOU WATCH YOUR BROTHER!" "But mom!" I said babyish.

"But nothing katelyn"! She said. I laid my head down on the table. She grabbed her purse and said "Bye honey, Be careful Call me if you need me, Love you." "Okay I will" I say, not saying I love you back.

I heard my brother crying, So I walked up the stairs. I quickly walked into his room picking him up.

I Rocked him singing. "Hush little baby don't you cry, Sissy's here for the night." The song made no since because I made it up in my head as I sung. After a couple of minutes  he was asleep. I put Braxton down and walked down the stairs. I got my phone out of my back pocket and got on twitter. I then walked over and laid on the couch. Scrolling through my feed I decided to tweet,

"Babysitting,What's that? Whatever it is it sounds boring." After I was on for I while I got a text.
From: Cassadee🐼

KATELYN MARIE BRIDGES! WHERE ARE YOU?!

To: Cassadee🐼 My mom is being a bitch and made me stay home and watch Braxton.

I hit send on my phone & locked it. After a few short seconds I clicked the top button to check the time.. woah.. It's 7:30 already!

I put Braxton to sleep at 5:00! Woah, time goes by fast. I'm literally sitting here, doing absolutely nothing. I decide to close my eyes. I was almost asleep when I heard my phone ring.

I looked at the screen seeing "Momma💕 is calling you." I quickly answered. My mom said "Hey honey! I'm almost home."

"Alright" I reply, while yawning. About 10 minutes  later I hear the door open. Mom yells "Honey I'm home "where's Braxton?" "Upstairs." I continue. As my mom walks up the stairs and goes into the babies room, I follow and go to my room. "Mom, Can I get a shower?" I yell. "Go ahead." she agrees. I grab a new pair of underwear,a t-shirt, a pair of socks, and a pair of shorts.

*After shower*

I walk into my room all dressed. Suddenly my mom walks in and says "GIVE ME YOUR COMPUTER NOW!" I ague and ask why. She says "Your always on it, Just give it to me you brat!" "mom, why?" I ask. "KATELYN! NOW!"

I roll my eyes and hand her my laptop. She walked out, slamming my door aggressively behind her. I think about how mad she makes me. Not knowing it is 3:00Am I'm still thinking about how much I hate her. I look at my phone realizing the time. I slowly think, "Katelyn you deserve better" "Get out of there!" "Leave!"

With all those thoughts crossing my mind, I grab a huge suitcase under my bed. Since its June it really hot out. Rummaging through my clothes Picking out all the shorts I have, And all the shirts I can get. I collect all my outfits and necessities.

Throwing it all into the case. I grab my purse and my phone and charger. I'm leaving. Finally.

I quietly walk downstairs and write a long note to my mother. I realize i need money, so I take the emergancy money out of the safe. then I walk out the door.....
