Urgh Monday again…Buzz! Buzz!! BUZZ!! Great there goes my alarm, I think to myself. I manage to lift my head an inch before I feel and see the bright orange sun rays stretch throughout my neat room. After 10 minutes of doing nothing I finally decide to get out of bed and make it before my mom come to check on me. right on cue she steps in with a big smile dressed in her pyjamas and a morning silk robe. “Good morning Divia” she says brightly while all I can do is mumble back a reply. She then leaves and gives me time to get ready for school.
After showering in my bathroom, I dress up in a simple black top high-wasted jeans high tops and silver accessories. I do my makeup lightly and head down for breakfast. No one is in the kitchen except for my white puppy Charlie. I grab some apple juice and breakfast bar for myself while I give Charlie his bacon bits and a few pieces of last night’s sausage. Once I’m done, I hear my older brother Mike come out of his room on his way downstairs to get ready to go to the state university. To avoid getting bullied I rave out of the kitchen with everything I need for the day.
I go yo the garage to get my skateboard and ride along the street on my way to Ellsworth High while listening to music. I get there with some time to spare and so decide to find my close friends who I know will probably be by the front door. I’ve known these people since junior high and spot them easily by the front door where we usually hang out before and after school. All of them area; ready there- Salome, Emma, the twins Chris and Cece, Livvie and her boyfriend \trey.
Salome smiles with excitement once she sees me and shouts out unexpectedly “why didn’t you tell us you were on a date with Rodney McJerald??” dumbfound for a bit I recover and reply “what are you talking about? I kept bumping into him over the weekend at the mall but didn’t go on a date with him. Who told you this?” “One of Rodney’s close friends Victor as well as his younger sister Britt” answers Chris “and girl, it must be true if his own sister tells people that” Cece say before the twins wink at me at the same time. ”What? You guys must seriously be mistaken say in confusion and annoyance but before I can say anymore the bell rings and we all go our own way to different classes.
Well this is unexpected.
