"Try to solve the further sums. And if you have any doubts then you can ask me. I'll explain you again." I said to the class

They all put their heads down and started to scribble in their books.

I sat on the chair, glancing at my time table, to know when is my next lecture. I had finished up with 3 lectures and 2 more to go.

I looked up to the class, they were busy with their sums, keeping a pin drop silence.
Till then I saw a boy at the back bench his hands on the desk and his head rested on it. His books were closed, I bet he is not doing any work.

I walked towards him to know, what is wrong with him. May be he is not feeling well.

"Hey, champ. Are you alright?" I asked as I reached near him.

He raised his head, to look at me, with wide eyes. But didnt spoke anything.

"Are you unwell?" I asked

He just nodded as a no, not uttering a single word.

"Then whats wrong?"

He didnt respond anything

"Whats your name?"

I was teaching in this class since last month but i dont remember names of all the students. I mean its hard to remember it.

"I'm Saif." He replied in a low voice
"And I'm okay" he further continued.

"Then why are you not solving the sums? Didnt you understand it?" I questioned

There was no reply again
What is wrong with him?
Why he's not talking?

"Do you want me to explain it to you again?"

"No. I got that" he tried to end the conversation

Before I speak the bell rang , it was time for lunch break. All the students rushed out from the classroom as they were caged birds, relesed from the prison
I was left alone in the class.

Sidra forced me a lot to eat. So at last I ate half of the sandwich given by my aunt. Well, I can never win over Sidra. She makes me do what she wants.
She was a good friend of mine since the day I joined this job.

I needed someone with me to comfort me, since last two weeks, after that incident occured. She was with me helping me get out of the abasement.
But I was still not over it. I just couldnt forget it. That incidence was just carved in my brain, it cannot be erased easily.

We sat in silence for sometime, finishing our work.

"Did you finish up checking the papers?" She asked breaking up the silence.

"Um..no, few are left. I'll do it now." I explained

Last week, there were exams. And I needed to check the answer sheets.

I was busy cheking the papers when I got interrputed by my ringing phone. I saw the caller ID and it was Ayaan.

I picked up my phone and excused myself to go out.

"Assalam wa alaikum" I said

"Wa alaikum assalam. Noor, how are you?

"I'm ok."

"Ok? Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm fine Ayaan."

"Hm..well I just called to know, when you are returning from work?"
