The cabin

Chapter 4

Avi POV

Once we boarded the bus we all got situated and in order. I walked up to the front to where Jenniveve was to ask her how long the ride there was.

"Hey how long up there?"

"About 2-3 hours. Not too terribly bad." She said.

"Awesome." I said and went to sit down. Scott and Mitch were sitting on the sofa part across from me and Esther and Ryan were sitting at the table. Where's Kevin and Kirstie? I started to look around and then saw them come from the back lounge. Kevin joined Esther and Ryan and Kirstie, I assumed was going to join Mitch and Scott, but walked up to me.

"Can I sit here?" She asked tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Of course." I said and she sat down.

"Are you excited?" I asked.

"Yeah! Very excited actually. But I don't really know how to cast a fishing line... So that's probably going to be intresting." She said sounding embarassed.

"That's okay. I can teach you." I said smiling.

"That'd be great." She said returning the smile.

There was a small silence until she asked me a question.

"So how far is it?"

"Jen, said about 2-3 hours."

"That'd be a great nap." she said laughing.

"You're very right." I said. "I think there's blankets in here. You want one?" I asked getting up reaching into the cabinet.

"We can share one and watch a movie if you'd like? But only if you want to.." She said kind of looking away.

"I'd love that." I said smiling.

I got a big blanket out and walked back to see her looking on her laptop.

She's so cute.

What?! Stop, Avi! You can't!

I snapped out of my thoughts and sat next to her.

"What are we watching?" I asked spreading the blanket over the both of us.

"Oo! Do you want to watch Frozen?!" She looked at me and smiled.

"What ever your little heart desires." I smiled back.

"Okay, we'll watch that then." She giggled.

I lifted my arm and put it on the back of the seat behind her and she pressed play.

"OHMYGOD ARE Y'ALL WATCHING FROZEN?!?!" Mitch exclaimed and started to get up.

"No, Mitch!" Scott hit his leg. "We have to plan our next superfruit." He said motioning his eyes toward me and Kirstie to give him the hint to leave us alone.

"Ohhhhh. Yeah okay, you're right." He said catching on and sat back down.

We laughed and directed our attention back to the movie. At the begining 'Frozen Heart' played and it was a bunch of guys with deep voices singing it.

"You should sing this." Kirstie laughed.

"I should, huh?" I smiled at her. She giggled and went back to watching.

About 30 minutes into the movie I still had my arm on the back of the seat, and she moved closer cuddleing up to me. It took me by surprise at first, but I just went with it. I debated on whether I should move my arm or keep it where it was. I decided to be brave, and move it to her side. She snuggled closer and we stayed that way until the movie ended. I looked up and saw everyone was passed out, including Kirstie. I smiled and shut off her laptop and set it on the ground. I looked at my phone and it had been about 2 or 2 1/2 hours.

"Hey Jen how much further." I whisper yelled trying not to wake everyone up.

"Almost there. About 45 minutes." She said.

"Thanks." I said.

That's a good nap. I thought to myself.

I looked down at Kirstie and she was sound asleep. She is so adorable. I smiled and shut my eyes and fell asleep along with everyone else.

"Avi."

My eyes fluttered open and I saw Jenniveve telling me to wake up.

"Thanks, yeah I'm up, I'm up." I said and she moved to Scott and Mitch.

I looked down at Kirstie and she was still sound asleep. She looked so peacefull, I didn't want to wake her up.

"Kirst. Kirst." I said nudging her slightly.

"Hmmm." She said not moving.

"We're here." I chuckled.

"But I'm comfortable." She mumbled.

"You have to get up Kirst." I laughed.

"Ugh.... Okay." She sighed.

She lifted her head and rubbed her eyes.

"Are we here?" She asked grogerly.

"Yes, I already told you that silly." I said laughing.

I still had my arm around her waist, and she noticed and looked at it.

"Oh! I'm sorry. Uh.. Sorry." I said pulling it away quickly.

"It's okay." She said looking down blushing a little.

I smiled awkwardly and folded the blanket to put it away. I looked outside and saw the cabin.

"Looks nice Scott." I said to him.

"I know right?! It's a two-story and there is a lake that way and a beach that way!" He said pointing in opposite directions.

"Walking distance?" I asked.

"Yep!" He said holding two thumbs up.

"Awwwwesome!" Kevin said staring through the window in awe.

"Well what are we waiting for?! Lets go!" Esther said.

We all piled out of the bus and began unloading.

"Need help?" I asked Kirstie who was struggleing a bit with her bags.

"You have a lot of stuff in your hands. It'll be too much." She said trying to pick up her suitcase.

"Don't be silly." I said switching my bag to my other hand with my suitcase then grabbed hers with my free hand.

"Are you sure?" She asked grabbing her other bags.

"Not even heavy." I smiled.

She smiled back and we all walked into the cabin.
