"David, be really good for Lou tonight okay?" I held David on my hip as one of the stage managers hooked up my ear pieces and microphone. During the shows David stays back stage and plays with Lux and Lou watches them. But for the past two or three shows I have to go get him in the middle of the concerts and bring him onto the stage since he cries.

"Don't go Daddy." He wrapped his arms around my neck and laid his head down.

"Buddy, you know I have to work and it's only for a few hours. And you can watch me from the screen backstage." I rubbed his back tried to set him down but he wouldn't let go. I am ready supposed to be on stage. "David, please." I begged him. Lou came up behind me and tried to get David off of me.

"Daddy no!" he cried once Lou held him in her arms and not me. I had five counts before my solo and I wasn't even on the stage yet. I quickly put my ear pieces in and ran out onto the stage. Zayn gave me a concerned look but I just nodded at him. The first song finished and it was my time to talk.

"How is everyone tonight?" I said into the mic and the fans screamed. "While we get ready for the next song Niall is going to dance for us!"

"I am?" Niall said into his mic and looked at like I was idiotic. "And since when do we take breaks between this song and the next?"

"Since I had to go backstage and take care of something." I told him not so much into the mic this time.

"Oh David again?" he asked me with his mic covered by his hand.

"Yeah. I can hear him crying through my ear piece." I told him then went backstage. I found him in Lou's arms as she sat on the floor with him, trying to get him to stop crying. David saw me and stood up so I could hold him. I held David with one arm and offered Lou a hand to help her stand.

"Liam this is getting out of hand. I can't hold him down every time there is show so he won't run out onto the stage after you." She said and stepped bit closer to whisper in my ear the next part. "I heard some of the managers talking today, they are getting mad that you keep bring David on stage. You need to do something about it." She whispered then stepped back and walked away.

"David." I sighed at him. "You can't keep doing this, I have to work you know that."

"I'm sorry." He sniffled and laid his head done on my shoulder and closed his eyes.

"Can you please, please, please, stay with Lou till the end of this show, then we can go back to the bus and watch Toy Story, okay?" I walked around a little bit till I found Lou again sitting in a chair watching Lux play with some of her dolls.

"Promise we can watch Toy Story?" he said while wiping at his eyes to dry his tears.

"I promise bubba." I kissed his cheek then sat him down in front of Lux so they could play together.

"Liam, I'm serious. I'm not doing this anymore." Lou warned me as I started to walk away.

"I know, I know. I'll figure something out." I told her.

"Bye Daddy! Love you!" David called after me as I got farther away from him.

"I love you too!" I called back and waved at him. I placed my ear pieces back in and stopped in front of one of managers to grab my mic back from him.

"Mr. Payne I suggest you think of an excuse to tell your fans why you left, and it better not be about that crying kid of yours." He whispered to me then handed me my mic.

"That crying kid is my son and if you talk about him like that again I will make sure you won't live to see the next day." I whispered through clenched teeth then gave him my middle finger as I walked back onto the stage. Yeah...I was going to get in a lot of trouble, but no one talks about my son like that.

"Lou? Where is David?" I asked after I chugged a bottle of water.

"I got him and Lux to sit down and watch a movie a few minutes ago, right over there." She pointed behind me. I turned around and saw Lux and David watching a Barbie movie on a small television screen.

"They couldn't watch a boys movie?" I sarcastically asked her and walked over to David. "David come one, it's time to go." I told and her stood up and stretched his arms upward, telling me he wanted to be carried.

"Good, that movie was making me mad." He said like he was a grown adult as I picked him.

"I think you and me need to have a little talk mister." I said once we entered my dressing room. I sat done on the couch with David on my lap so he could see me. "Why have you been crying so much lately? Are you scared or something?"

"No." he shyly said and started to play with his fingers.

"You have to tell me what's wrong, David."

"I don't want to, you will think I'm a baby." He huffed and climbed off my lap. I watched as he went over to the small table and grabbed his sippy-cup that had apple juice in it. "Can we go watch Toy Story now?" he sat his cup back down and climbed back onto the couch next to me.

"You have to tell me what's the matter before we can watch Toy Story." I pulled him onto my lap and he rested his head against my chest.

"I miss mommy." he softly said.

"Is that why you don't want to be away from me?" I asked him.

"Yeah. I'm scared that you won't come back and you will leave me all by myself." He finally admitted to me.

"I will always come back. I just have to go and sing, it's my job buddy. I would never leave you." I wrapped my arms around him in a hug.

"It's just scary not having you and mommy with me." He whispered into my ear.

"Mommy will be here soon, I promise. We just have to wait one more week." I told him while standing up, still holding him, and grabbed our stuff to leave.

"David come here!!" I heard Louis shout from the front of the bus. Me and David were lying down in my bunk watch Toy Story 3 on the television that hung from the ceiling on every bunk.

David sat up and I gently sat him down on the floor and he ran off. I paused the movie and got up myself. I walked towards the front of the bus and saw Louis handing David something.

"Thank you Uncle Louis." David said hugging Louis. "Look daddy!! Louis got me a racecar pillow!" he told me joint around and waving the pillow in the air.

"I see bubba." I told him then picked him up. "Thank you Lou." I directed towards Louis.

"No problem." He took David from me and ran off somewhere in the back of the bus.

Zayn showed up behind me and plopped down on the couch. He was smiling a little too much, it made me feel like something was going on.

"Why are you smiling like that?" I cautiously asked him.

"Oh nothing." He said a small chuckle. His phone went off and he looked at the screen and his smile grew wider.

"Seriously, your scaring me. What's going on?" I tried to look at the phone screen but he quickly locked the phone.

"Nothing. Just trust me." He patted me on the back. I sighed an walked to the back of the bus to go find David.
