I was sitting in 1st period math. The most boring subject, first period on Monday. If that isn't the worst timing, you're wrong. I thought about my day yesterday. Mostly revolved around my fandom life. Which really isn't a life at all. Mostly Netlfix, Instagram, and Tumblr. I had rewatched most of season 2 of "Doctor Who" because it's my favorite doctor, and favorite companion. Rose and the Doctor belong together. Or at least in my mind. I looked around. Most people were still up socializing because the bell hadn't rang yet, but there was no supplies on the desk to the right of me. I'm not friends with most of the people in my math class, on account of the fact that most of them don't really watch TV or read, unless they're physics books. So I don't share much common ground with them. The bell rang, interrupting my thoughts. Mrs. Fitzgerald stood up to begin teaching. "Good morning class. Hope you had a good weekend." There was a knock at the door. The head of student admissions was at the door. "Hello first period math class! You have a new classmate. His name is Ryan. Ryan, this is your schedule. If you have any problems, come see me." She left, leaving Ryan standing at the door. "Ryan, if you could sit please, we'll get on with the lesson." Ryan scanned the room for empty seats, and the only empty one was next to me. He made hi way over to the desk and sat his things down. I observed him while he was doing this. He had brown eyes and blond hair that spiked up a bit in the front. He had a tall, skinny build, and was wearing a green T-shirt with jeans. Mrs Fitzgerald started the class, and I was lost in the world of functions.

At lunch time, I bought a chicken sandwich and sat down with my group of friends. Three of my friends, Kaylee, Rose, and Lydia were already sitting down. "Did you see that new kid Ryan today?" Kaylee said. "He's pretty cute." "Meh, hes okay. But compared to the other people here, he's an A." I replied. Since math, I had had English, science, and history, and just my luck, Ryan was in all of them. Lydia chimed in in agreement. Rose kept quiet on the matter, because she already had a boyfriend. His name is John. See, this just gives me proof that there's a mad man with a blue box out there somewhere. Anyways, John sat down with most of my friends. Most of the conversation that day was fills with who was going to be dating Ryan first. It sure wasn't going to be one of us, he didn't look like a fandom type of person. I was lost in my thoughts, but something snapped me back to reality. "What are you losers talking about now? I thought that by now you would know that someone like Benedict Cumberbatch isn't going to marry you." It was Abigail, the most popular girl in our grade, which usually mean most mean a well. In this case, it does. "Go away Abigail, I heard you're not getting Chris Hemsworth either." Kaylee backsassed. Abigail bored her eyes into our souls and stomped away, probably to complain to her boyfriend. "She reminds me of Sharpay from High School Musical. Snapping at Everton and telling tall people to evaporate. " Kaylee said. The bell rang, and I had to go to my next class. I put my tray away and went to my locker.

The last bell of the day had rung, and i was walking towards the bus. I saw something I didn't expect to see. Ryan was standing alone in an empty and dark corridor. Most kids who are decently attractive are swooped up by the popular kids, and hang out with them right after they arrive at school. I walked over to see what's up. "Hey. Why are you standing alone? I know it's your first day, but people who are new usually have people to talk to." "I'd rather stand alone." "What bus are you on? I'm on 226. If you're on that one, we can ride together." Ryan pulled out his new student info pack, which included his bus assignment.

"Actually, thanks for the offer, but I'm on bus... 226. That's awkward..."

"Are you trying to avoid me?" I asked.

"No, I just think that if you got to know me you would think I was really weird and wouldn't want to be friends anymore."

"Well, let me get to know you first then. And then we'll decide on the friendship front."

"Fine." Ryan said as he and I walked towards the bus.

"So, what's you're favorite color?" He asked.
