Sorry it took me so long to get this published. This is the last chapter to the story, and it took me a while to figure out where I was going with it. I hope you enjoyed the story!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two weeks have passed, and quite quickly I might add. The dance was here, and I was excited. The sadness of loosing Ryan as a friend had worn off. He was officially dating Sharon now, and sitting with her on the bus. I went back to listening to my music and ignoring all the annoying kids (everyone) on the bus.
"Elisa! Blush or no blush?" Rose asked. She seemed to get over her breakup after a while, but she was still apprehensive going to a dance where there would be couples slow dancing all over the place.
"Blush. And lip gloss. Looks good on you." I replied.
"Thanks!"
"Welcome." Kaylee was standing in front of a mirror admiring her dress. I had to admit, it looked good on her. She was the only one to actually get a date, surprisingly with the guy she liked. Maybe fate is real. I can't tell you, but the little things do make me think that. Lydia stepped out from the bathroom in her dress, which was blue with sequins spread out through the dress. It looked fantastic on her!
"Lydia you look great!" Rose said.
"It's time to go girls!" Kaylee's mom yelled. We ran down the stairs and piled into the car to go.
The gym looked amazing. It was an under the sea theme, and the decorators had gone all out. I had already tried the food, and it was great. We had arrived 5 minutes ago, so I hadn't heard much of the music, but they were playing "Best day of my Life" by American Authors, so it looked like a lot of the music would be recognizable. Rose came up next to me.
"John wants to talk to me." She half whispered half yelled in my ear.
"About what?" I whispered/yelled back.
"I don't know! He just came up to me and said he wanted to talk. I assume it was about the breakup but I can't be sure."
"Look, it depends if you want to talk to him or not. It doesn't really matter if you want to get back together or not."
"Okay, I wanna talk to him. Be back in a sec." I walked over to my friend group and danced while I waited for the outcome.
About 45 minutes had passed and a slow song was playing. Rose and John were back together, and I'm glad because I always thought they were a prefect couple. I was standing on the side because I had no one to dace with. Someone walked up next to me.
"Ryan? What are you doing?"
"I need to talk to you. I'm sorry for saying that it's bad that you obsess over people who aren't real. I realize that's a mean thing to say. They're like your friends, you know?"
"Yeah, and I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have judged you. That was rude and uncalled for. So does this mean that we're friends again?"
"I think so. I've missed talking to you on the bus. "
"I thought you were talking to Sharon?"
"Oh no. We were working on a project together and that one day we went and ate ice cream before we started working. You think I would date someone as mean as her?"
"I did. Sorry if I offend you with that thought."
"It's okay. No offense taken. But you know, that TV show you said was your favorite?"
"Yes! Doctor Who? What about it?"
"I started it over the weekend." I looked at him with wide eyes. My face broke into a ear-to-ear smile.
"So you saw 'Rose'? What did you think of it?"
"It was pretty good. We should have a marathon sometime."
"I think that's a good idea. Let's do that."
As I looked out at the dance floor, I realized that these are my best friends. The ones who obsess with me. The ones who support each other no matter what. We are best friends, even if it took us a while to find each other. We will stick together through everything. Friends are amazing, and I'm glad I found mine.
