Obito in High School AU

III

Whispering started in the hallway as a certain someone walked in a chilled pace to his locker. Obito grinned at the confused expression of former classmates and bullies. It seemed they didn't recognize him at all.

The Uchiha caught the interest of three girls in particular. Rin, Ino and Kurenai.

"Who is he? He is so good looking!" Ino squealed and bat her eyelids as he made his way towards them.

"I know right. Finally a really hot boy in our grade. I  bet he is an exchange student, that shawty can't be from here" Kurenai melted under his smirk as he approached them.

"He is...alright" Rin crossed the arms in front of her chest and turned to her locker. Truth was, he was unbelievably handsome but surely some fuckboy. There was nothing worse than boys who were aware of their looks and therefore played with girls feelings. What an asshole.

Obito blushed a bit as he noticed that Rin was throwing him some looks. And when she finally opened her mouth to speak to him his heart threatened to burst due to happiness.

"Well that ain't your locker, dunce" she exclaimed. That douche was stealing Obitos place.

"Ehm, well...it has always been mine" he replied disappointed. He didn't expect her to be this rude on their first day of school.

Rins eyes widened.

"O-Obito?!" a crimson blush flushed her pale face. The bell released her from her shame.

"Come on we don't wanna miss classes Nohara" Ino pulled her arm but not before blowing Obito a kiss.

"See you!" Kurenai winked at him and followed her friends.

Obito sighed and leaned against the wall. Rin noticed him. Well not quite happily but still...

"Hey Obito" a slim silver head smiled at him softly.

"Hey...Kakashi" he greeted him in suspicion and quickly hurried to the classroom. Why was that scarecrow acting so weird out of a sudden.

The silverette kept on staring from the distance. He couldn't explain his fascination for the raven.

Author-san whispering in Kakashis subconscious: "You're gay tho!"

Obito sat down next to a  blonde who stole his favourite seat.

"You're new aren't you?" he whispered to his new neighbour.

"Yes, call me Deidara uhn!" the guy with the ponytail responded.

"Obito. My pleasure." they "brofisted" and the last students entered the room before Kushina-san closed the door.

"I am glad to see you're all back healthy and hopefully motivated for your last year in highschool. Lets check the attendance!" the redhead glanced and tried to look for a long haired raven unsuccessfully.

"Uchiha...Obito?" everyone started mumbling as they couldn't sense his presence .

"Where is that loser anyway?" Ino whispered to Rin who was still blushing.

"Here" a deep voice confidently raised his hand.

All looks were fixed on the raven head. Kushina-sans eyes widened as she noticed the change of the student.

"Obito?...Well nice to see you again" she laughed shyly as the Uchiha furrowed his brows at her weird behaviour. Whispering filled the classroom as they observed their new not so new classmate.

Ino kept on staring at the former loser. If she had know what was behind that long hair...

"I always knew Obito was an eyecatch. It was-" she whispered to Rin when her teacher cut her off.

"Yamanaka be quiet. Detention on the first day of back to school wouldn't be delightful would it?" Kushina-san scolded the chatty blonde.

"Neither is it on the last" Obito added with a sassy smirk. The red head habanero boiled but decided to leave him alone. Indeed, he was right.

Ino sank back in her seat and sighed in release. Rin shot her a furious look. She had to admit that the thought of her friend taking a slight interest into Obito gave her the creeps.

It wasn't a few seconds after when the blonde passed her friend a small note.

Ino: Oh my god he stood his ground for me. Do you think he likes me? *-*

Rin: He was just being nice. Not every boy is interested in you.

Ino clenched her teeth as she read Rins answer.

Ino: We'll see about that.

The bell rang and announced break. Deidara shouldered his bag and approached Obito.

"Wanna hang, uhn?" the smaller boy asked.

"Sure!" Obito replied and guided his new buddy to the cafeteria.

"I actually made some friend today. We were both confused about our current classes so we sticked to each other. My man's name is Sasori, uhn!"

"Well then how about we won't let him wait any longer" Obito beamed his new friend a goofy smile.

The two boys joined a red haired boy who sat alone at a table drawing some puppet sketches.

Obito smiled at his two new friends who seemed to be so extraordinary. First day of school and he could count himself lucky.

"HEYY OBITO" a loud and girly voice rang through his ear.

It was Ino who sat next to him and pushed strands of her long hair behind her ear.

"Thank you again for saving me from detention. You're the best lets hang out someday" she quickly kissed Obitos cheeks and disappeared.

"You already got some chicks uhn" Deidara smirked with a grin.

"Her beauty won't last an eternity" Sasori scolded the other boy.

Rin from the other side of the cafeteria boiled in anger as her friend came back with a light smile in her face.
