Your body ached and you couldn't feel anything. You weren't able to see... it was like your face was covered.

You could hear beeping... like the heart meters you would hear at a hospital.
There were some background noise, like as if someone were moving around.
"Ms. L/n, don't worry- you are in safe hands... the nurse will be here really shortly." I hear a familiar, high pitched voice.

Sugar?

I tried to speak, but it was like there something blocking my vocal chords. All that came out was a small, weak wheeze... the door opened and then slammed shut.
It was quiet for a few moments, except for the beeping.

You tried your best to wiggle your fingers and your toes. It was like you were put on some sort of anesthetics... how long were you here?
Soon enough, the door opened.

The person didn't say anything.
But you could feel them grow near you...
Whatever was on your face, the person removed it. It was a wet towel... and the person was a nurse.

She had ginger hair, her eyes were a bright brown, and her skin seemed pale. She looked attractive... a little too attractive. How old was she?
Then Sugar wandered in, "How is she...?" Sugar came to your side as well.
You gazed at them both, wanting to say something...

"Her blood pressure is back to her average. I did a small body check up for her... just so the doctor wouldn't have to deal with it." The Ginger girl said... her voice sounded so soft and frail.
Sounded so innocent.
"Huh... does that mean she'll be out of here?" Sugar questioned, glancing at you.

"Well first... we need to help her with get out of here, her body is still locked up with anesthetics. She might not be able to speak for a little while since the lidocaine is still impacting her vocal range.."
Oh... so that's probably the reason you couldn't speak.

"Okay! Can we run a few test just to see...?" Sugar asked, putting down her medical items. The Ginger nodded.
After the set up, The Ginger soon began to ask her questions.
"Okay... Ms. L/n, if you can hear me- blink twice, if not... do not blink."

I did so, I blink twice.
Sugar wrote something down.
"Now, L/n... if you can feel this... blink once. If not, don't blink."
It was quiet for a moment, my eyes averted down- she had a small needle and pressed it against my skin.

I almost started to freak out... but I couldn't feel anything, luckily.
I didn't blink. "She's not legible to move just yet... we'll give it another hour or so before we check with her." The Ginger suggested before finishing with, "You can let her friends or family members come in and visit her now."

The Ginger took her leave.
I watched as Sugar started to get every settled. She looked at me.
"You must have gotten yourself into a real big pickle... who did this to you?"
Sugar questioned. I tried to reply.
All that came out was a raspy whine.
"Oh... Oh yeah, you can't speak- sorry!"

Sugar sighed.
"Well, who ever did this to you... I hope they had it coming."
You watched as Sugar walk out, but she was talking to someone.

Within the first few seconds, they strolled in. Vincent and Madison.
"Oh my god..." Madison covered her mouth, before walking towards your side. "What did Rain do to you...?" Madison's voice cracked.
Sugar came in from behind-

"She can't speak... at least not in another hour."
Vincent looked at her, "So I can say anything without her consent, huh?"
He said jokingly.
"Well, I have to say... she looks a little better like this?"

Madison stared harshly at him.
You haven't seen what you looked like... you worried that you weren't going to like youself.
"Where's a mirror?"

Vincent graded one and tossed it to Madison. Madison held the mirror up to my face...
I struggled to lift up my arms.
But I saw myself pretty clearly.

I had scars on my face, but they were fading away. There were huge bruises and patches of swollen skin on parts of my head... some of the swelling had stopped.
I couldn't recognize myself anymore.

"Sugar... is she seriously going to go out to the world like?" Madison questioned, clearly panicked.
"...I mean, we did all we could do with her injuries... if you're asking for surgery on her face then-"

You couldn't look at yourself anymore, you just completely shut your eyes and blocked out everyone's voices.
You immediately passed out.

"What about Hazel... did you check on her yet...?" Madison questioned earnestly. Sugar nodded...
"Yes.. and she's doing fine, but she has stay in the hospital for another few weeks. Her throat hasn't completely healed and her voice box is has been slightly damaged."

"Is there anything we can do?"
Vincent asked, even he said with a worried tone. "I think all we can do is just wait..." Sugar finished before leading them out of the room.

As they headed out, The Ginger gazed at Vincent from the distance. Vincent met contact with her, noticing her expression.
She blushed, but immediately looked down... "Vincent, come on..." Madison stated in a tearful voice.

Vincent snapped out of it and followed after Madison...
