The Death Of A Friend

Goodbye, Dear Friend
Until we meet again
It didn't have to be this way
Your life didn't have to end
But I know you didn't want to stay
It was your ticket out

But know that every time it rains
I remember you
The way you used to laugh at me
For jumping in the puddles
I just wanted to make you happy

I remember you when it snows
The little snowman we made
He didn't even last a day
But we kept trying to rebuild him anyways

I remember you even on the hottest of days
When you would throw me in your pool
And jump in after me
Even if we both came out of the pool shivering

I remember you in the wind
You used to always love the wind
It reminded you of life
And how it comes and goes as it pleases
No meaning behind it

Tyler,
I remember you.

I've decided to discontinue this book. Making this poem my last. If you couldn't tell this last poem was about loss.

The loss of a friend, this friend had stopped me from taking my own life / hurting myself more times than I can count on one hand.

Yet, when he needed me most I was just out of reach and he ended up committing suicide. This poem, this book, this life of mine is dedicated to him.

I love you Tyler may you Rest In Peace. ❤️
