Rain, thunder, harsh winds, and even lightning. This wasn't ideal flying weather but here he was in his small one man fighter, flying over France into Germany.
Alarms began to sound below him. He'd been spotted and would have to ditch the plane before it was destroyed by the krouts. At a moment when a Panzer hit nearby Louis (Lou-ee) Le'Beau pulled a lever make it appear as if the engine was hit and smoke appeared from the propellers. He pushed on the stick until he was in a nose dive and finally pushed off the dash with his feet, separating him from the plane. Not realizing how close he was to the ground he immediately pulled his chute cord.
His view from above allowed him to know the German line's position. It was directly ahead. He has to veer left into No man's land to avoid capture. But if anyone spotted him from either side it was a definite death sentence. So Louis took a chance and landed in a German trench.
The damned Huns never expected a man to fall from the sky in the middle of the night. He then killed 20 of their men before he was finally captured.
No one had ever seen a man fighting so fierce with no guns. Although they were strapped to his thighs and a sniper rifle on his back, he did not use them. Each man who ran to apprehend him was dealt with swiftly. He merely pushed them back or swung his hand next to there throats and there they fell, dead as a door nail, covered in blood with stab and slice wounds. As if this man had the touch of death or some kind of hidden blade. He sliced through the men like cheese until made a mistake and forgot to watch his own back.
Knocked out by the butt of a German assault rifle on the back of his head everything went black instantly. Though there must have been some form of consciousness because he felt hard steel clamp onto his wrists as the krout grunts continued to kick his body. Eventually Louis lost complete consciousness.
---------------
Louis awoke with a startle as a blonde haired boy in uniform with one blue eye dumped water on him. What looked like commanding officer sat at a small wooden table in the corner of this underground room sipping on a hot cup of unpleasant coffee. He was obviously still in the trenches. Which one? He did not know.
One of the Germans landed a few cross punches in an attempt to rough up Louis. Louis had trained himself not to show fear or pain. Only discipline and silence.
A few more hits and a broken rib later "Cease!" shouted the commander. He walked over to his bloody prisoner who sat silently tied to his chair. "Who are you and what are you doing in my trench?" No answer. "You killed 20 of my men with ease and seemingly no weapons. How did you do this?"
It was then he realized his blades were still attached. The fools. But he still have no answer.
"Very well. Have it your way." He turned his attention to his colleagues this time speaking in German but Louis understood. I'll be back in half an hour. If he cracks before then, send for me. And with that he put on his trench coat and officers hat and exited. The thugs rolled up their sleeves and began to lay into him.
----------
Monsieur Louis took his beating until the commander had returned in 2 hours. Nonstop gunfire and mortars continued sound off outside and screams of men being let out as hot lead and shrapnel poured through their flesh.
"Things don't seem to be going your way out there, commandant." Louis says. The officer stops in his tracks and stares in disbelief.
"So, you are capable of talking, eh?" He relieves himself of his gloves revealing a gold ring with royal Red Cross etched on its center.
"Only when I know that I have the upper hand." Louis now speaks confidently as he has found his target-a Templar. Members of a secret organization who seek to control the world by hiding in plain sight and taking positions of powerful military and political leaders.
I know it's not much but I thought I'd give it a whirl. Follow Louis Le'Beau, an aspiring French Assassin on his quest to end the war, stop the Templars from attempting world dominance once again.
