2: Darkness

Darkness, it surrounds me. I can't even see the moon. My family, where are they. Think Marnie, think. Turning round I see two glowing eyes. I jumped. Oh, wait. It's the doll Aunt Sylvie gave me last Christmas. We were on holiday in Sweden. Skiing by the light of the moon. Where am I? Last thing I remember was playing spies with my brother Alex. We were running down the stairs. I fell. Am I dead? Or just unconscious? Why is the Doll in my dreamland?

I see a light.
I hear a voice.
It's Alex!
He says
"Marnie, I don't know if you can hear me, but I'm sorry. Sorry for all the times I teased you. Out of my fourteen years, the 11 with you have been the best."
He kept talking while I followed his voice. "Remember when you were six and broke your arm? I was scared. Marn, I love you and always will do."
He finished. Feeling the light hit me, I shied away. Unsure of what to do, I let the darkness take me. I'm my head I said. "I love you too, big bro."
And let the darkness envelope me, unsure of when I would come back.
Maybe one day.
But for now there's only darkness. I blinked, if you could say that. I jumped.

The doll.

It moved.
