2 years later

About two years ago Coach Bombay left for his minor league tryout, he recently got injured and had to come home. It's been two years since the Mighty Ducks have came to be. It's been two years since I met Adam Banks. I can say that I've developed a little crush on him, but I'm way too stubborn to admit it out loud. The two of us became fast friends after he officially joined the team, and I consider him one of my best friends.

I was over my best friend Connie's house, helping her get ready for her date with Guy. She's basically the only one who has any idea of my slight infatuation with the blonde boy.

"Shouldn't I be the one helping you get ready?" I asked Connie, who was straightening my hair.

"You did enough, I'm already dating Guy so he should think I look amazing no matter what, duh." She answered with a playful eye roll.

"Ok you're right, but I'm not going on a date with Adam. We're just hanging out."

"Just hanging out, my ass. Within the first hour he'll find some excuse to kiss-"

"Connie! Do you hear what you're saying? We're not even dating, and we're never going to date." I stated.

"Oh come on, he looks at you as if you created the sport of hockey yourself."

I scoffed, "Oh please."

"I'm serious! Now go, you don't want to be late now do you, Jules?"

"I mean-"

"Julia Nicole Conway you better rollerblade your ass to Adam Banks' house before I drag you there by your hair."

"Damn, ok Mom. Catch you on the flip side, homie." I said to my best friend and left her house.

As I was rollerblading to the rich side of town, where Adam lives, all these thoughts came rushing to my head. Those stupid thoughts like what would I do if he didn't like me, and what would happen if he did. I would never admit to these thoughts because I believe they show some weakness, and trust me, I'm the furthest thing from weak.

As I arrived to his house I saw that he was already outside, playing roller hockey. Well, pretending to play roller hockey.

"Across the goalie, between his legs, score!" Adam cheered while he scored on the imaginary goalie.

I mock clapped for him as he turned around with a big smile on his face.

"And imagine seeing you score on a real goalie." I laughed.

"Is that a challenge?" He voiced in seriousness.

"Bring it." I boasted confidently.

He smirked in response, the bright blue eyes of Adam banks sparkled with determination. You could see in his eyes how his whole life revolved around showing the world what he can do.

A hockey stick was tossed my way and our competitive little game began. After about twenty minutes and no score I began to get frustrated.

"Adam, look! It's Charlie!" I voiced and pointed behind him, causing him to turn around and leave the vacant goal open.

I took that as my chance and scored.

"Oh yeah! In your face, Banks!" I yelled out.

With his signature smirk on his face he turned to me.

"Oh, you're gonna get it now." He responded.

Before I could even question what he was going to do I was being lifted off the ground, Adam had his arms around my waist and was spinning me around his driveway.

"No, stop that tickles!" I laughed as his hands dug into my waist.

This made him smile bigger and continue to tickle me. Which caused me to want to hit him, so I turned around and lifted my arms up, ready to strike his perfect little face. Before I had the chance to hit him, he grabbed both my hands and pulled me closer to him.

The position we were at made it look like we were about to kiss, he was slowly moving closer to me. My heart was beating so loudly I could hear it in my ears and my breath was caught in my throat.

We were broken out of our trance when the sound of a duck whistle caused us to awkwardly jump apart.

"Hey love birds, you wanna play some real hockey?"
