Chapter Two

Tyler's POV

"What's wrong?" I asked her as I took both of her hands and held them.

"We've been friends for two years and, I can't do it anymore." She said as her eyes started to fill with tears.

"Do what?" I asked her as my breath quickened as I got nervous of what she was going to say.

"I've been dating Dan." She said as she looked down.

"WHAT?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?!?!" I yelled as I let go of her hands and backed away towards the wall.

"I'm sorry. I've been trying to tell you." She said as she reached her hand out to touch me.

"BUT YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!" I yelled as I jerked my body away from her.

"Why do you care so  much?" She asked me.

"Because you're not the only one that has feelings for someone." I said quieter.

"What do you mean?" She asked as she cocked an eyebrow.

"I've liked someone for two years and I never told you because you wouldn't understand." I said.

"Who did you like?" She said as she stepped closer to me.

"I--- it doesn't matter right now. "I said and looked down.

"Tell me." She said as she reached out to touch me again.

"Don't touch me, don't look at me, don't talk to me, just don't do anything to interact with me. Got it?" I asked as I walked down the hall grabbing my bag and, car keys from my locker.

I shut my locker and walk to the door to leave. When I bump into someone on the way out. I looked up and it was Daniel. I closed my eyes and stepped back.

"What's wrong?" He asked as he set a hand on my shoulder.

"Why do you care?" I asked as I brushed his hand off my shoulder.

"Because I actually care about you." He said as he grabbed one of my hands and put them between his.

"Yeh  right." I said as I removed my cold hand from his warm ones.

"Why are you being nice to me?"I asked as I ran a hand through my hair.

"Because I can." He said as he stepped closer to me.

"I- um.  I have to go." I said and left.
