Storks: The Series (Book 1: The Beginnings)

The Kitchen Kids

This will be the first episode that will focus on Nate Gardner along with my own characters as they handle the pressure of taking over the cafeteria's kitchen with Austin and Ridley guiding them along the way and it also introduces new characters that I have been working on for weeks.

PS: This takes place at the same time with Alexander's Big Break so that means it's a comparison of what the grown up main characters are doing and what the baby characters are doing at the same time ;)

October 6th, 2016

Nate's POV (7:30 AM)

I arrive at Stork Mountain where the all human and bird workers arrive to start their day of work including myself since they allow child workers

As I get off the plane someone says hello which prompted me to know who said that. A kid around my age with black hair, gray eyes, and fair skin and is wearing a navy blue hoodie with a white t-shirt underneath, black jeans, and white sneakers.

"Hi my name's Shawn West and you are?" The boy introduces himself

"My name is Nate Gardner" I said in response

"I'm a newbie here along with my sister Maddie so do you mind showing me around the place because I know you were here before me" Shawn told me with enthusiasm

"I would love to but I know someone who can show you around the place" I said to him with reassurance

"Who?" He asked me with an eyebrow raised

"Junior but I'm pretty sure he'll give you a tour as soon as he's notified about new workers entering the company" I explained with a smile

"Okay then" He said he and his sister walk away

"Hey Nate you forgot your sister" Austin told me as he got off the plane with Kaitlyn in his arms and Dwayne following him.

"Darn it, I knew I was forgetting someone" I muttered to myself before I pick up my baby sister

15 Minutes Later (Before the events of Alexander's Big Break)

After I put my sister inside the baby room, I went to change into my mailman uniform but Junior stops me and says "Do you think you and some other child workers can take over the cafeteria's kitchen" in an exhausted tone

"Why are you tired and couldn't you just fly over to me quickly" I said with a deadpanned expression

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to ruin my suit so I had to run" He quickly responded while catching his breath

"Why don't you ask Austin because he's a famous celebrity chef" I said with an eyebrow raised

"Because he has documents to sort out with Thomas and I didn't want to bother them plus he's only nineteen years old and he became a celebrity chef three years ago also the chefs will arrive late at exactly twelve o' clock" He explained finally catching his breath "But I guess I'll replace him for Vincent however, he will guide you in the cooking along with Ridley, got it and get to the cafeteria at exactly 10:00 AM"

"Okay then" I said before Junior leaves the locker room and goes back to his office

"I guess I'll try out a new hobby" I thought to myself before leaving the room to wait for the time

10:00 AM

I reach the cafeteria's room and I see that Shawn and five other kids are there waiting for Austin and Ridley.

"You're here?" I questioned Shawn

"Of course and some others as well" He responded with a shrug before two kids walked up to us
