Isolation and The Warehouse

July 29, 2012 (Austin's POV)

I didn't know what to say about my dad dying from an accident, I was planning to make amends with him but only to find out that he died horribly.

I looked over to my left and saw my brother crying which made me go to him since my father told me to reach out for him when he was gone.

"Dwayne what's wrong besides dad?" I questioned him with actual concern

"My homeschooling teacher told me to pay 1500 dollars to extend classes but I don't have any money" Dwayne answered with sadness

"Why didn't you ask mom?" I asked with confusion

"She's suffering the same problems" Dwayne responded pointing at my mother

I went over to mom and asked "Mom is this true?"

"Yes, my boss threatened to fire me if I don't pay 5000 dollars by the end of the week" My mother responded in tears

That's where it hit me, I didn't want to see my mom suffer like that, so I decided to go up my room and get the money I've earned before I was recruited.

I went downstairs into the living room where my mom and half brother are and handed my mom the cash box filled with 10,000 dollars.

"Mom here take this" I said as I opened the cash box

"But...you need this to open your business" My mom said as she closed the box

"No I insist you need it more than me" I said to my mom's face

"But you've worked hard to earn that money" My mom said with sadness "You even got yourself a job as a waiter in a cafe after you graduated culinary school"

"No mom please I'm an adult, I-I can make this back alright I can get a job and earn back that money" I assured

"Are you sure?" Dwayne said finally speaking up

"I promise" I said as held Dwayne closer

"But what will I tell them" My mom said in a worried tone

"Just tell them the truth" I said before my mom gave me a hug along with Dwayne

After the hug, I immediately went up to my room as my mom was preparing to leave the house and pay for her work and Dwayne's homeschooling

I began to have these feelings called isolation and depression which made sense because I was really starting to get along with him plus he acted like an actual father to me.

"Austin, your father's funeral starts tomorrow" My mom said coming from downstairs

I heard what my mom said but I decided not to go because I still couldn't get over the fact that he died.

July 30, 2012 (The Next Day)

My dad's funeral started and mom, Dwayne, their friends, and all my friends were all gathered in one spot but I watched from a distance and it was raining so I had to wear a hoodie.

No one's POV

After Angelo's body in the coffin was buried, Emma turns to see Austin sitting on a tree branch and becomes concerned for him.

She tries to go and talk to him, but Vincent stop her and assures "Austin is going through a phase so it's best that you don't bother him"

"But he's my friend, I have to comfort him" Emma said with a worried face
